Live in northeastern Montana.

One of my Spark friends had this on his status (4/28/2016) -- THENEWMICHAEL "When it comes to measuring progress, the mirror is a better instrument than the scale."
WOW!!! That is something we all need to take to heart!

We all have a whoops day. Its what you do the day after that counts... Kaliswalker

JOHAL52 is still in a holding pattern over life. But that's okay--sometimes holding patterns can lead to growth--it's up to me :) -- Her status for 2Aug11 -- A small comment that speaks volumes.

My Goals:
To exercise more, get more toned, and get to a healthier weight. I would like to stave off any joint problems in legs and hips.

Another goal which I have is to get rid of a lot of the "stuff" I possess, way more than I need to have.

My Program:
Portion Control - although I haven't been real successful in doing this, I am more aware of what portions are and try to stick with them most of the time.

I use the nutrition tracker and follow no particular weight loss diet, just try to get more freggies, less carbs and fat. I have been customizing the "my favorites" list to include the foods I use the most. I have been also making use of the exercise tracker, getting at least 10 minutes of cardio every day. I try to do some strength trainig 3 days a week.

Personal Information:
I live in Northeastern Montana. I work more than full time at a desk job. I spend way too much time on the computer...

Jan, 2016 -- All of this still holds true.

Other Information:
Am a cat person. Like to knit, sew, quilt, garden -- but don't seem to get much of them done.

2/24/2013 -- Several fiber craft people have been meeting during lunch hour once a week to work on projects, visit, and show off our latest projects. We also share techniques when someone has a problem with their project. Some are also starting into spinning using drop spindles.

Criminy-I woke up at 1:20 a.m. when the thunder was so loud it made the windows rattle!! Rain just pounded down for about half an hour. I got a lot of weeds pulled...queen anne's lace has overtaken the side of the hill. Came out easy. It was a bit nippy but good day out there and rain didn't start back up again until 4:15. Just heard on the 5:30 news that someone had egg-sized hail and the severe storms are headed for your neck of the woods in Valley and Phillips Co?

Going to have some soup and take a bath. Just can't get warmed up!!

It's as simple as noticing what you've done right instead of what you've done "wrong." Focus on your strengths rather than your "flaws."

See what others see in you: an exquisite combination of gifts. It's as easy as telling yourself the truth: You can do it!

Your banner picture is GORGEOUS!! Did you take the photo? I'm still trying to get used to the new pay layout. Not really fond of it yet but I do think the banner will be nicer. Some photos I wanted to use just didn't work because they got cut off.

Got my lawns mowed and put the weed & feed in the front yard to try to rein in the dandelion parade. Wanted to get it down before the next big rains hit! Now to move the day lilies!!

I was absolutely incensed about those arrogant, ignorant and obnoxious comments on my blog. Well, duh!! Didn't I say I know it is an addiction? CA people definitely do not 'get it'. After closing up the comments I read a blog about "Pack Rat Day" from DESERTDREAMER that was just hysterical so now I'm all calmed down and ready to head out to 'work'. It's my volunteer day at the Senior Center desk answering phones and taking money for lunch.
The dandelions have gone on a rampage all down the block. I mowed but they just pop back up and flag their little fluffy seed heads at me. Will have to mow again tonight.

thanks for commenting on my goals blog. I really always wanted a thoughtful life- I've made decisions all along that led me to doing something that gives back- to being a citizen of the world- but somehow I thought the only goal I wanted or needed related to a number on the scale. Now that I've learned that isn't what I need- I'm figuring out where to go.
