Live in northeastern Montana.

One of my Spark friends had this on his status (4/28/2016) -- THENEWMICHAEL "When it comes to measuring progress, the mirror is a better instrument than the scale."
WOW!!! That is something we all need to take to heart!

We all have a whoops day. Its what you do the day after that counts... Kaliswalker

"I'd rather cheat once a month than fall off the bandwagon and overeat everyday!" - Lynz on her Spark Montana blog

JOHAL52 is still in a holding pattern over life. But that's okay--sometimes holding patterns can lead to growth--it's up to me :) -- Her status for 2Aug11 -- A small comment that speaks volumes.

CATINCJ Never set your goals at some else's pace or evaluate your performance by someone else's standards. Added 2May13 from her feed that day.

My Goals:
To exercise more, get more toned, and get to a healthier weight. I would like to stave off any joint problems in legs and hips.

Another goal which I have is to get rid of a lot of the "stuff" I possess, way more than I need to have.

My Program:
Portion Control - although I haven't been real successful in doing this, I am more aware of what portions are and try to stick with them most of the time.

I use the nutrition tracker and follow no particular weight loss diet, just try to get more freggies, less carbs and fat. I have been customizing the "my favorites" list to include the foods I use the most. I have been also making use of the exercise tracker, getting at least 10 minutes of cardio every day. I try to do some strength trainig 3 days a week.

Personal Information:
I live in Northeastern Montana. I work more than full time at a desk job. I spend way too much time on the computer...

Jan, 2016 -- All of this still holds true.

Other Information:
Am a cat person. Like to knit, sew, quilt, garden -- but don't seem to get much of them done.

2/24/2013 -- Several fiber craft people have been meeting during lunch hour once a week to work on projects, visit, and show off our latest projects. We also share techniques when someone has a problem with their project. Some are also starting into spinning using drop spindles.

Am going to Bend, OR. I think I'll take the northern route to Spokane and then head south there and maybe come home through Boise. I just can't get going?? Harvest really wore me out and now it's so smoky and there are a bazillion wasps I can't control...can't seem to find where they are hiding and even though I've been spraying twice a day they just come back. Got the big guns spray yesterday...something from Big R (North Forty, now) so hopefully it will help. And this smoke is hard on my lungs which are protesting and turned out to be pneumonia. So I still have to get some yard work done. Don't know if the chest stuff started from wheat dust, smoke, insecticide or just a summer cold that I didn't take care of.

Wedding sounds fun. I am just going to hang out with my friend. Her twin brother had a house built in Redmond and left their old childhood home in southern CA. He's never lived anywhere else?? So I am so excited for him and a bit jealous too, I suppose. He really left it all behind and is getting new stuff instead of the old stuff that everyone else left behind. Will work as an Art Ambassador at the art show this coming weekend and also help my friend to get her book shop space opened in a space in a larger market. And lots of just hanging out and laughing and playing board games. I am also planning to go back for Christmas so trying to haul a bunch of stuff so I won't have to ship it or pay extra on the plane...and if it's not a bad drive, i may drive back over in Dec. Just getting old and not liking those snow trips anymore.

We often tell ourselves that small steps are really not all that effective, and we use that as an excuse to stand still. When in reality, nine times out of ten, it’s those small steps that make those big changes happen. To begin all it takes is one very small, manageable step. And the very best time to begin is right now, Saturday August 20, 2016.
