The 2014 Reset Button

I lost weight in 2012, and gained a bunch of it back in 2013, completely derailing my goals. 2014 cannot continue that trend!

To put some numbers on things, here are my goals for 2014:

* Lose 20 pounds.
* Gym 21 times per month -
** Boot camp 4 times/week.
** Active recovery between boot camp sessions
* Eat clean 80% of the time (vegan, healthy, balanced)

Let's do this.

Good Mornings are like dead lifts but a little different. I have a link here for you because trying to describe them with words would be tedious! I like them and feel them in my glues, even though the main muscle they target are hamstrings.

It is interesting how perspective changes. And also what we expect from ourselves. I'm probably not really in better shape than my friend, but I AM willing to push myself more than she is -- which might not really be a good thing.

I've been through Kandy, but not really seen it. It's more up in the hills, so cooler than Colombo, where I am. Sri Lanka is spectacularly beautiful, the hill country is supposed to look like Scotland, although I cannot base that on any personal experience. The food is great, and you should be able to eat vegan without too much trouble. The people are lovely.

When are you coming? Will you be in Colombo at all? You'll have to fly into here for sure.

"I thought you were making up words" made me giggle snort. It's flattering that you think I could come up with such awesome words as "muscadine" and "scuppernong"! They are fun to say out loud, too :)
