Munkybug: Lives and Learns

Well, it's half-way through 2013 now, so I thought I might need to change this. . . I lost 50+ pounds by June of 2012. While I've been maintaining that loss, I've struggled to move beyond it. However, after a year of ups and downs, I'm found that determination that helped start this journey. It's my grand design to tout a 100lb lost by the end of 2013.

2012 is the year it all changes for me. I will FINALLY graduate college ...

2012 is the year it all changes for me. I will FINALLY graduate college in May. I want this year to reflect that I am in charge of my life and that I can make permanent positive changes. I'm looking forward to moving to a new place with old friends, celebrating my husband's and my 10 year wedding anniversary, and starting a new career. Also, I'm going to lose weight and above all learn to live a happy, healthy life. I am doing this!!

My Program:
I am thinking about what I eat instead of just mindlessly eating.

I measure everything.

I drink lots and lots of water (12-16 servings a day).

I'm doing the couch to 5K training program. - Completed 05.12.12

I'm staying positive.

I'm learning to take support and encouragement from others and support and encourage others in return.

When I falter (and I will falter), I'm going to pick myself back up, dust myself off and KEEP MOVING FORWARD!

Personal Information:
I'm doing this because. . .

I'm graduating college this year, and I want to walk across that stage proudly. -- Done 05.18.12

Also, my husband and I are celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary, so I want to be able to wear my ring again.

I played tennis all though high school and I want to make it a part of my life again!

Other Information:
I love movies, reading, and museums.

My favorite movie is 'Pride & Prejudice' by Joe Wright.

My favorite book is 'Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell' by Susanna Clark.

My favorite quote is "If you're going through hell, keep going" by Winston Churchill.

I love going to presidential libraries and museums!
