Before photo - 300+ pounds. I cannot believe how large my arms were - no wonder I have bat wings!

Be patient. Remind yourself that the key to success is small, consistent changes made over time.
Choose to appreciate your body right NOW, for what it can do, not what it looks like.
My name is Tracy and I'm working on being at my best for me and for my baby girl. She is two years old and the light of my life. Working, taking care of a two-year-old, cleaning, and cooking is a LOT more work than I thought it would be! I am trying to treat myself well by eating well and exercising, so I have the energy for all of this!
Good quote about food addicts:
"You use food to fill a void in your life. When you do that consistently, you begin to believe that every feeling is hunger. When youre sad, youre hungry. When youre angry, youre hungry. When youre happy, youre hungry. Food addicts literally dont feel a difference between emotions and feelings of hunger."
-To be the healthiest, happiest version of myself.
-To be a good mother, friend, wife and daughter
-To be FABULOUS at whatever size I happen to be.
Right now I am doing the 30 day shred DVD. My workout plan changes all the time. I have run two 5Ks so I enjoy running/walking when the weather is good. I also enjoy Zumba classes on occasion and playing Just Dance on the Xbox.
I am married with a cute baby daughter. I teach music at an elementary school, which is GREAT for weight loss because it keeps me moving a lot.
I grew up thinking hamburger helper and Kraft macaroni and cheese was a perfectly healthy meal, and being a Southern girl we ALWAYS had sweet tea! I literally never drank water as a child.
So I have learned a LOT during my transformation on SP. No, I am not done, but I am truly a very different person than I was three years and 70 pounds ago.

Tracy, thank you for your comment on my blog about The Beck Diet Solution. I appreciate your sharing part of your story. I'm looking forward to reading your blog and rereading your comment, to see where our paths might intersect. It's very good to see you back. This is a long, hard journey, but we can someday get to our destination if we keep putting one foot in front of the other!

The pic on my coverpage is from 6 years ago...I worked REALLY hard to get there and had lost about 70 pounds in that pic. I have since gained all of that back plus. I have struggled with weight most of my adult life and have yo-yo'd, rollercoastered so many times I have lost count. At this point in my life I am more concerned for health issues than the asthetics of being thin. I just recently came back to SparkPeople again as I find it to be a useful, supportive community. I will be more than happy to be a cheerleader for you to support you in making healthy choices and loving yourself for who you are! It's not dieting..its's lifestyle changes.
