Just trying to lose weight and get fit like everyone else.

I started as high as 195 lbs. Have lost over 45 lbs to get to 150 lbs or so. Would like to get to 138 lbs and hold around there. Have moved from overweight to normal weight. Qualified for life insurance at age 45. Feel much better and look much better now that I have lost 45 lbs.

Current Status:
MWWENSIN Happy Easter everyone. Ran 4.25 miles today in 76 degree temps. Boy I am sweaty.

Eventual goal to get to 138 lbs - halfway in the "normal" range established by CDC.

My Program:
I run mainly for my exercise it is great for burning calories but it is challenging when the humidity is 98% or so.
Working toward my first marathon which will be the Chevron Houston Marathon in January if I get accepted.

I like eating and I like running just to run so I really try to keep at it. I'm not fast but I really enjoy thinking about my last run, my next run, my present run, my next long run and my run goals. I enjoy these thoughts for their own sake, but also for the fact that running contributes to my health and my ability to eat more. Yes i do love to eat, not necessarily a lot, but often and am even trying to eat healthy.

Thanks. I'm trying to continue building up. I was quite happy that I was able to make up the pace difference yesterday. Wasn't sure I could do it. This will help build my confidence as I try to run faster and farther. Finally getting stronger.
Hope your running is going well.
Has your wife completely recovered?

Thank you for your kind thoughts concerning my sister's passing. It is devastating to our family and I am doing my best with to cope with it. I am crushed. I am very thankful to have had her in my life and have wonderful memories that I will cherish always.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.
