Becoming the best possible version of myself

Hello everyone and welcome to my SparkPage! After losing 30+ pounds I got comfortable with my new, healthier body and lost motivation to keep striving for my original goal weight of 56 kilograms (roughly 126 pounds). Hello everyone and welcome to my SparkPage! After losing 30+ pounds I got comfortable with my new, healthier body and lost motivation to keep striving for my original goal weight of 56 kilograms (roughly 126 pounds). Iíve stayed in maintenance mode for a couple of years, and while Iím really proud of myself for not gaining the weight back, I am now finally ready to finish what I started all those years ago.

Iím going to challenge myself to become the best possible version of myself.

To me, it means sticking with it when the going gets tough. It means seeing this through and not giving up on myself because I know I really, really want this. I used to be a thin, active child and I weighed 125 pounds all through my teenage years, but then I began to make unhealthy choices and I kept on gaining weight until I reached my highest weight of 190 lbs in 2011.

Since then, Iíve lost 30+ pounds. While thatís AMAZING and Iím really proud of myself, Iím not at my goal weight yet.

But my goal is much more than a number on the scale. I've learned over the years to look way beyond numbers and measurements. I always used to want to be different: thinner, taller, prettier. Now I'm just focusing on loving myself today and every day as I strive towards my goals and improve myself in all kinds of different ways. I've accepted my natural shape and realized I don't want to be a size zero. I want to be ME!

This is all about lifestyle change, NEVER about dieting! My goal is to get in shape. To be strong. Healthy. Toned. Curvy. Feminine. Happy. Inspired. Inspiring. I want to live my life to the fullest every day and not have this thought in the back of my mind that my weight is holding me back from doing the things I love. I want to LIVE, not just exist.

This journey to where I am today has taught me to love my body today, even though Iím not at my goal weight yet. I want to lose weight, yes, but I want to lose it to be the best me possible. Iím no longer trying to be anyone but me!

You are such a breath of fresh air. :) All of your pictures look so glamorous, and this includes your "Before" pictures. Good for you for taking care of yourself and presenting yourself confidently from the very beginning. Love the background, the fashion, and the dress in your new profile pic!!!

I've been having a very insecure few months. And it occurred to me that much of this is due to the fact that when I feel fat I stop caring about my appearance altogether. Time to start paying attention and acting like I love myself. Thanks for the inspiration and great job on the maintaining!
