Hello everyone and welcome to my SparkPage! I'm Annie, I'm 26 years old and I live in Finland. I started this process of re-creating myself in February of 2012. Hello everyone and welcome to my SparkPage! I'm Annie, I'm 26 years old and I live in Finland. I started this process of re-creating myself in February of 2012. That's when my weight hit an all time high (190 pounds) and I was feeling absolutely miserable. I gained the weight slowly over the years - I was a thin child and a healthy, active teenager, weighing around 120 pounds until I was 17. That's when I began gaining weight slowly but surely until I reached my highest weight on February 2012.

That's when things changed for me. On Valentine's Day 2012 I decided that enough is enough. I had been using SparkPeople irregularly for years and I knew it could help me if I just started using the tools the site has to offer. Once I got started, things began to improve very quickly. I lost weight steadily, felt better and began to look more like myself again. I lost 30 pounds over the course of seven months and became so much happier, healthier and a lot more self-confident.

After my weight loss, I finally had enough self-confidence to make some much needed changes in my life and go after my dreams. My life improved dramatically and I learned to love my new body. After years of hating myself, I now all of a sudden loved my curves and my natural shape. I felt feminine, beautiful and empowered. So much so that I felt comfortable maintaining my new weight of 160 lbs for a long time before finally deciding it was time to finish what I started in 2012 and start losing some weight again. My next goal is 145 pounds. Then I'll see how I look and feel before deciding whether to lose more or just maintain again.

I'm more than okay with being curvy and soft. That's just who I am and that's how I like my body! There's no wrong way to be a woman - just be YOU! That's what I've come to realize and it's such an empowering thought. I've learned that not everyone is meant to be the same. I used to look at women in TV and magazines and feel bad for not being more like them. Taller, skinnier, more this and less that. What a waste of time! These days I'm only interested in being myself. I'm just focusing on loving myself every day as I strive towards my goals and focus on improving myself in all kinds of different ways.

So right now I'm in the process of re-creating myself. I'm in no rush to lose this weight. I want to do it right, take my time, give my body plenty of time to adjust. After all, this is all about lifestyle change and never about dieting! This is not a quick fix, this is a lifestyle change.

My goal is so much more than a number on the scale. I've learned over the years to look way beyond numbers and measurements. My goal is happiness, a healthy and active lifestyle, self-confidence, a life lived with passion and purpose! A life that I can be proud of. I want to challenge myself to grow. I want to push myself outside of my comfort zone and do things I never thought I could do before! My ultimate goal is to become the best possible version of myself.

- tone up, get stronger, keep my curves
- finish what I started and prove to myself that I can do this

- live my life to the fullest every single day

My Program:
- lots of water
- at least 5 servings of fruit and veggies a day
- lean protein and complex carbs
- everything in moderation
- a daily walk
- strength training three times a week
- track my meals every day
- update my blog every day sharing my calorie differential to stay accountable and focused

I'm pretty sure one slice of pizza is the biggest lie we tell ourselves. The only time I'm satisfied with just one slice is when I'm in an east coast city and the slice is the size of my face! Anyways, hope you're having a lovely day. :)
