Being here (at summer's end)

Its a type of printing process, where an image is created on a sheet of copper, using corrosive salts, grounds, burnishing, sanding and scraping. After the image has been refined, its inked and wiped, pulled thru a 1.5 ton hand press with a dampened sheet of paper and felt blankets. During this final process the ink is transferred to the paper.

Its extremely time consuming and challenging as the process is full of surprises that you don't always have the ability to anticipate or control. Many of these surprises are not um... desirable. LOL

Rather like thyroid disease.

Between the Hashi's and Aquatints I should be a Zen Master by now.
Unfortunately, I am not.

Its nice to have a goal... although I can't quite decide if the goal has me.

First diagnosed in 1985, I have learned more about thyroid problems since talking to you than in all the years before. Thank you.
PS Still waiting to hear from doc on synthroid prescription. emoticon

Thanks for the warm welcome to the Thyroid Team! I'm very excited to learn from the others who have gone down this path before me. As I said, living in a small county of just 17,000 people in the mountains, the choices of doctors are limited. That's why I was so excited to find the one I did. I think I mentioned in my post that his is a "concierge practice" which means I pay an annual fee and he is not bound to any insurance company regulations. He used to work with the space station astronauts, so I think that's a pretty good reference! I was so excited when he looked at the test results the other doctor had said were "normal" and saw the same problems I had. I see him again in a week and will let the team know how it goes. BTW, Elseebee stands for my initials, so you can call me Carol!

Hi there! You seem to know quite a bit about homeopathic living, which I love. I thought I would add you as a friend, feel free to add me back if you wish. I was diagnosed hypothyroid about a year ago so I am learning about natural ways to treat it.

Thanks for the drop-by and words of encouragement.

My balcony faces north so I basically get no sun at all. But anything that will grow in shade should be ok as long as it can be grown in pots..... Not much of a choice, but something is better than nothing, say what?
