I hope to be an example to my girls that beauty isn't just what you see it in the mirror, it is an attitude. You can only be as pretty as you believe you can be.

I believe in the power of positive thinking.

I believe small goals are the only way to get to the bigger one.

I believe you need to reward yourself for things you did well, and not beat yourself up over the tiny mistakes you make.

I believe EVERY person has the ability to do this, and that all you need is to find what works for you and run with it.

Just remember to support those around you, because someday you will need their support! You only get what you give.

You can't fail at life until you are DEAD. So, get up, dust off and make today a better day.

I believe everyone deserves to feel great about the way they look, regardless of their size.

I believe every person is beautiful. You have to realize that. No matter what you weigh, make it a point to pick at least one part of you that you LOVE every week, and tell yourself that, literally. Look in the mirror and say "I love my lips!"

My Goals:
In my weight loss journey I hope to achieve the following:
*To provide an example to my family of a healthy person.
*To be able to play with my kids without getting winded.
*To have people comment on my loss and be able to share my spark with them.
***I can't call them goals because they aren't able to be measured, but they are things that I hope will come to be as I gain my health back***

I have a small monthly goal of 4lbs each month. If I meet that goal, I treat myself to something I have been wanting (ie a new dvd, shirt, small workout equipment [ie dumbbells, magazine subscription, resistance bands])

Weight loss Goals:
10% loss #1: DONE: 5/12/10
10% loss #2: get to 170 pounds -
REWARD: pedicure and new outfit

My Program:
I track what I eat, no matter if I go over or not, still needs to go down. I try and hit my target daily, but know that things happen, and try not to let them stand in my way. Tracking is the ONLY way you can know what you are eating, and the only way to see how to trim the fat off your diet.

I also aim to get AT LEAST 10 minutes of exercise daily, more is always better. I also try and walk at least a mile 3x per week.

I am also part of TOPS in my area. It gives an environment where I have accountability. This has been KEY for me in keeping on track. Not only am I accountable to the number I see, but also gain motivation and energy from my co-members. In helping others see that they can do this too, it makes me that much more hungry to succeed!

Personal Information:
I'm from Oregon, the rainy state. Makes it even more fun to workout when more than 2/3 of the year we have rain rain and more rain!
