As you said, it was a hard way to lose weight, but Goodwill certainly benefitted.

Sorry you had to put your fur babies down. Pets are wonderful.

I appreciate so much your comments on my husbands 'tubes.' As one who deals with those herself, it really helps to hear what you do, and how you handle them. He does get the dressing changed on the nephro every two weeks, (insurance would pay weekly, but he thinks every other week is often enough), and we go out to a specialty clinic at the hospital to have that done. He does flush the supra pubic catheter, but no one has told him to flush this nephro tube. His care is not very good, as I've mentioned a time or two. He is not on Medicare yet, he is only 64, so we pay for COBRA coverage, which is pricey, but we are so afraid that Medicare won't pay as well as COBRA does. Please ease my mind and tell me that it does indeed cover cancer treatments as well as regular insurance. The shots he gets monthly are $2,000, and he gets another one every three months that is another $3,000. His nephrostomy tube changes run $5,000, and that is also every three months. I hope you are staying healthy during this Holiday season, and once again thanks for your help.
