Wow..I need to update this. It's been awhile. I have always been overweight. Looking back now I realize that I internalized a lot of how I felt about myself and would eat to comfort myself. I have always believed all the garbage people told me about myself too. I realize now that every negative comment someone told me is not a reflection of who I am but a reflection of who they think they are. I no longer accept that behavior from people which has made me stronger. I'm alot more aware of what I am eating and how much but most importantly how I feel about myself when eating.

It's amazing how we can see ourselves when we stop looking to other people to give us worth and realize what we are worthy ourselves. I'm a much stronger person and I am in this journey to improve and challenge myself.

My Goals:
My Goals/ Resolutions for 2009 are pretty attainable if I stick to it!!!

1) Run at least 1 5K (acutally have 3 picked out)
2) Lose 25 Pounds
3) Reduce Debt.

While some may think that the 3rd may not apply, I believe it does. I'm a stress eater..when I'm stressed financially-I eat. I believe by all 3 work together for the overall good!!!

My Program:
I have decided to focus on just a few things at a time.

Remain consistant with my excersize program. If you have read my blog you know a little of what I'm doing but here it is in a nutshell.

Mondays: Butt & Guts (1/2 hour of core work)
Tuesdays: Run
Wedensdays: Body Pump
Thursdays: Run
Fridays: Rest
Saturdays : Run
Sundays: Rest

For nutrition my goal is to get at least 8 8-ounce glasses of water in me and to eat my fruits and veggies. This little change is hard but attainable for me and makes a HUGE difference on how my body works.

Personal Information:
I live in River Falls Wisconsin which is so close to Minnesota I call it Minne-consin because I know more of what is happening in MN than I do WI. I worked in MN for many years but due to downsizing lost a job I hated and started working for the local hospital which is part of Allina Hospital & Clinics a MN based system.

The most stressful part of my commute now is trying to decide to stop for coffee on my way to work or not.

I am single, no human children but have to feline kids (pictures to be posted when I have time). Their names are Margaret Anne and Norman Peter.

I enjoy music, LOVE Bike riding, running (who would have thought) and think Laughter is the best EXCERCISE in the world.

I joke that I'm an active person stuck in a lazy person's body. That has been changing this year!!

Hope your day was productive and healthy! Are you resisting all the treats? I surely did today. At my job one department was offering treats to everyone in the facility, but I resisted going over to the department to get any treats. emoticon I am so proud of myself for simply telling myself that I do not need any and since I just ate lunch I did not want to overdo it. emoticon Only 2 more days until THANKSGIVING!

HOPE YOUR WEEK IS OFF TO A FABULOUS START! REMEMBER WHILE THE HOLIDAYS ARE AMONGST US TO EAT IN MODERATION MAKING HEALTHY CHOICES AND CONTINUE TO BE ACTIVE AND FIT EXERCISE IN.
