BIG CHALLENGE 2013

2012 was my most active year ever! I completed my very first 1/2 marathon, the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon, in 2.5 hours, completed two obstacle 5k runs (zombies & mud oh my), completed 2 10ks, the remember the 10 run in Stillwater, OK and the Crescent City Classic in NOLA (5th time), and two 5k night glow runs. For 2013, I'm setting out to increase the number of events and decrease my finish times for those events. I'm SO PUMPED!!!

Wasn't that a pity they had this mental giant on stage and turned to the skinny white broad as 'expert?' I mean, no offense to her, just ya know. Old man up there been doing this REAL for decades. Oh, well!

I probably feel more of a connection to him since I've read about 6 paleo books. I'm not a chemist, so I read as a layman and I forget EVERYTHING. Also, the first time I read them, I was pretty skeptical (do not even think about taking my beans!!) but this time I'm enjoying them more. I think it's a lot, if you're doing more of trying to understand the mechanics of it.

There's NOTHING wrong with just looking at the shopping lists and following them -- or the books that are basically recipes. It's all healthy stuff. I'm just getting more jazzed reading it AGAIN (as evidenced by my GLUT of posts).

I'm immersed now in these readings and podcasts, so I'm into it but I'm still VERY lax. Trying to convince myself a mojito is not a recovery drink. emoticon

The ranch is mostly wooded. You can't really treat all of them but we keep them off (in their web-like bags) by physically removing.

BUT they're all around so even if you de-bagged the 'importAnt' trees or shrubs, the larva will crawl to them (which is this case).

I try natural liquid soap mixed with vegetable oil (they don't like the taste and the oil suffocates them, if you're lucky. It comes off with rain, so you have to keep at it!

This explains 14 years of virtually no harvested peaches (except by te coons who WAIT til the split second they're ripe and beat you to them)!

Thank you for the goodie.

How it breaks my heart to hear of those who prey on the ones most in need of shelter.

I keep shaking my head. I think people are getting crazier.
