"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13

Since joining SparkPeople, I have become slimmer and healthier -- in spite of major surgery in January 2010. I am able to do much more than before and feel better.

Since joining SparkPeople, I have become slimmer and healthier -- in spite of major surgery in January 2010. I am able to do much more than before and feel better.

I am the mother of 6 gifts from God, 3 boys -- Jason, Richard and Bryan --and 3 girls -- Kristen, Catherine, and Jessica. One of my sons is presently in the military (Air Force) in S. Korea, one got out of the Navy and went to graduate school and got his Master's degree in biology and is now here in WA state deconstructing a ship, and the third is working after getting out of the Army and is working on his college course work to become a psychologist. He has joined the Army National Guard now and they will help him to pay for his education. My oldest daughter is a paralegal, my second daughter is an R.N., and the youngest is employed by the DOL.

I have eight grandchildren, a girl Paige (11 years old) and a boy Isaac (9 years old), an adorable 7 year old boy named Keith Bryan, a 6 year old grandson named Dylan, a 6 year old grandson named Trent, a girl Isabella Noelle, who is 3 years old, Brady who is 1, and an infant named Eric.

I also am the crazy cat and dog lady. I have 4 cats and 2 dogs.

God is my rock and my strength.

Very true....unfortunately I am the main target in his life. I know that it shouldn't be personal, but it is tough in those trenches!

A hard thing to combat, but I think that's very much what is going on in that brain of his regarding the amount of work. Tonight in a total untruth. He then said he didn't care what I wanted...he would do what he wants. Sadly...I believe that is true. How do I not take this personal Nellie? I feel like I'm attacked pretty much every day and the evil one knows I'm vulnerable.

Thank you for your prayers, Nellie. Prayer has been answered. I didn't get my cake and eat it, too, but I do have peace.

Nellie, it means I was ornery. I ended up not doing what I should. The boys (15 and 24 - should be men) were dragging their feet about shoveling. I finally had enough and got angry. Of course, it didn't help the situation, at all. The ornery came first, then the wrong decisions. Not related to my diet, at all.
