Since joining SparkPeople, I have become slimmer and healthier -- in spite of major surgery in January 2010. I am able to do much more than before and feel better.

I am the mother of 6 gifts from God, 3 boys -- Jason, Richard and Bryan --and 3 girls -- Kristen, Catherine, and Jessica. One of my sons is presently in the military (Air Force), one got out of the Navy and went to graduate school and got his Master's degree in biology and is now here in WA state deconstructing a ship, and the third has finished his college course work to become a psychologist. He is now an officer in the Army. My oldest daughter is a paralegal, my second daughter is an R.N., and the youngest is employed by the DOL.

I have eight grandchildren, a girl Paige and a boy Isaac, an adorable boy named Keith Bryan, a grandson named Dylan, a grandson named Trent, a girl Isabella Noelle, then Brady, and an infant named Eric.

I also am the crazy cat and dog lady. I have 2 cats and 2 dogs.

God is my rock and my strength.

You are somewhat right Nellie about Isaac! I had to leave for an appointment about 6:30 and by then Isaac was crying and yelling outside. Tim went to see what he could figure out what was going on and finally the emotions had surfaced. He didn't understand why Kenzie was leaving him. Why did she have to take that job? Why can't she keep this job? They were able to talk about how his response to those emotions were inappropriate and what the next step was on Saturday...an apology and telling her how he feels. Whew! We still have a consequence in place at home so he remembers until Saturday that there is a consequence to how he chose to respond to others due to his emotions. Tough one, but thankful he finally voiced it. We are also thrilled to know he is capable of attaching emotionally.... many autistic people can't do that!

Thanks for your comment on Max's home coming. Nothing on the vet's itimeized bill was too expensive...It's just that it all adds up over a 3 week period. Will have to watch our spending this month, but that's ok. We'll be fine. We put all our expenses on plastic for the month and pay the bill in full when we get it. Credit Card people don't like peo emoticon ;le like us who don't carry a balance!
