Grateful to be At Goal..Again

I lost 33 pounds in 1970 on the old old old Weight Watchers Plan, arriving at my doctor selected goal of 114 in 5 months. Had a few years at an even lower weight due to illness, then got back up to goal and stayed there until the menopause 6 snuck in from the air. (Never from Cheetos or Reeses!) Got serious, lost the 6, and am keeping it off, and then another 9 pounds.

Hi Nell,
Thanks for your support on my blogs! As for the lung damage, the CT scan showed a previous granulomatous disease along with patches of inflammation from the bronchitis that I had. The infection appears to be gone due to high doses of antibiotics but I have be left with severe inflammation and a wicked cough. The previous granulomatous disease needs further study to find out if it is an autoimmune disease or scar tissue for a severe fungal infection that I picked up as a child for the Ohio River Valley and the mid Atlantic states where I lived for forty years. I am fervently praying that is the case because the development of more recent autoimmune diseases is very serious businesses. There are about 137 different kinds that it could be. Several are mild which wouldn't be too bad but others are severs and can cause deadly complications. That is the type that I pray that I do not have. Thanks for all of your support. It means everything to me when I am feeling so isolated.

I was thinking the same thing last night as I was sweating. We have a ceiling fan, but it wasn't doing any good. I went down to our game room where it not only was cooler, but DH had bought a fan. Fell asleep on the couch and didn't wake up until the alarm went off. I broke down and bought a fan and I think the humidity is lower.
What is going on with your water heater? It's always something when you own a home.

Nell, we actually prefer my home cooking over almost any restaurant meal, too. If DH is bothered by GC making money off me, then maybe he won't want to go there more than once in a blue moon. Heck, I've already decided that if I can't find food I am willing to track at family get-togethers, then I plan on eating when I get home (I usually have an apple late afternoon anyway, so I won't be starving.)

Nell, DH has his own idea of nutrition. Because his metabolism was so fast through his 40s, he takes childish delight in his pie and candy. One of his three children developed a food addiction, confusing "full" with "eating until he feels sick". I wonder how his son picked up that habit...

Fortunately I am immune to the presence of his calorie bombs. I'm having fun imagining how different foods boost my health, so if I can't see a health benefit, a food loses attraction to me.

Thanks for stopping by my blog, "Updated SparkPage."
