Hi, my name is cheryl and i love spark people. This wonderful community has helped me get back to a healthier weight, and shown me that i can age with grace instead of settling for the ongoing weight gain that seemed to have become a part of my getting older. My Goals:
1. stay within my recommended calories
2. exercise 4-5 days weekly
3. do strength training 2-3 days weekly
4. walk the trail 1-2 times monthly, fast walk and jog.
5. jog the 5k race for recovery in september

My Program:
1. track my calories daily (even when I go over). I strive to eat healthy and balanced.
2. exercise on elliptical 4-5 days weekly.
3. do upper body strength training 2-3 days per week with 5 lb. weights.
4. walk/jog trail 1-2 times monthly

Personal Information:
I live in the beautiful deer country of pennsylvania. I am 57 y.o., christian woman, married, 3 adult children (one who has aspergers/autism), 4 granddaughters, a lovable rottweiler and a little miniature dashound who rules the house.
i am a case management supervisor for a drug and alcohol agency

Other Information:
I am a survivor and a recovering alcoholic, addict. I have survived childhood and adult sexual abuse. I have survived physical, verbal and emotional abuse. I have been sober since 5-14-79 and journeying with Jesus since 1984.
My husband and i enjoy hunting and fishing and motorcycling.
I enjoy crochet, gardening, reading, bible study, religion, psychology......

Most of the Nelson's are from Indiana..My brother and I are from around Erie, Pa. We are from the names of Baker, Mitchell....
I have a 6 year old male sitz zoo....like a big furry cat...he following me everywhere I go...passive..non barking..loves everyone. Really close to him..first time in my life...
my children had their pets..I was too busy to stop and even notice them.
Retirement changes things...I love the quiet side of living....I notice and appreciate life far more today then at 30 or even 50...
Glad that we are connected and spark friends...enjoy this day..the gift of life that we have been given...use it up!
