my ongoing recovery journey with Jesus, striving for healthy living, wholeness and wellness

Hi, my name is cheryl and i love spark people. This wonderful community has given me hope in getting back to a healthier weight, and age with grace instead of settling for the ongoing weight gain that seemed to have become a part of getting older. Praise God for spark people. I feel so much better, a little lighter and a lot healthier.

Cheryl, on this Good Friday, may we never forget the true meaning of Easter. For when Jesus was on the cross, we were on his mind. May the blessings of Easter fill your life with inner peace, unconditional love and lasting joy. The Lord wraps you in his love and blesses you always. Have a beautiful and blessed Easter holiday weekend!

Hey Sista!
Thanks for that cup of coffee - It hit the spot and revived my bone tired body. Yes, cleaning out our parent's house after they have passed on is quite an emotional roller-coaster. It's like every little thing ya pick up has some kind of emotional attachment ...... Well, one minute it does, but in my own situation, like right now cleaning out the JUNK in the basement of Mom and Dad's house, I am so overwhelmed I feel like paying someone to come and haul it all away.
LOL, I guess that's better emotionally than being in the basement and wanting to keep every piece of garbage. Oh well, it is a huge job but it's getting done simply because it has to get done - The house was sold to my brother and he will need to start renting it out soon in order to off-set his mortgage payment.

Well, had my coffee break (thanks to you!) emoticon ... and now it's back to work. emoticon

My husband and I used to go fishing together. I would have to bait his hooks, take the fish off the hooks for him, I never got a chance to catch any of my own LOL! Now that he is in a wheelchair, we don't go fishing anymore, but I still have all our gear just in case!
