I was 63 kgs in my 20s, almost 86 in my 30s and now, about 40, I'm 74 but working on getting back to 65 kgs.

My Program:
1) less junk food, more proteins (it's going to be hard, considering I'm vegetarian, but I'll try)
2) about 5 hours per week doing cardio and strength exercises
3) cycle or walk to work
4) drink more

Congrats on taking the next step to reaching a healthier you by getting active with SparkPeople - it's a great community, wonderful resources and fantastic support. You're off to a great start already, just by posting here!

If you haven't already discovered the SparkDiet linked at the top of the START page, check it out - the program is simple but extremely effective. There is a TON of information on this site - so much it might even seem overwhelming but fortunately we don't have to 'digest' everything at once! The FastBreak program is a good way to start.

The key is perseverance and consistency-take it one day at a time and you will see results!

Welcome to Spark, it is the best place to start adn have your journey to great health. I started in Feb, on my journey and have lost close to 60 pounds.
Spark has a wealth of information, so explore and read, read,read! It has great recpies, great ways to change up your workout routine!
Make sure you join some teams, make friends, and join some challenges! The best thing about Spark is its support system! Spark is filled with tons of motivation and wonderful people to hwlp you with your journey!

SP is a great site with everything you need to reach your goals. Members are supportive and helpful.
A good way to stay motivated and accountable is to be active on your Spark Teams. Plus, it's a great way to make friends who have similar interests.
