Love hearing from you--thanks so much!! My bod's adapting from 7' above sea level to 8,607 ft ...takes a few days! I rode my bike a short distance at 94% of my zone because I had to finish before a haircut appt!, hiked twice & returned to my 60 min. River Fitness (Water Jogging) class & some ST. Boy, trying to jog against that "river's" current mandated a nap this afternoon!

When I reached the top of of a very steep hill, 2 elk & I startled each other. They jumped up (after having bedded down) & we stared at each other. Then a deer bounced by, too. Very cool. Since the wildlife is used to being alone here, I've been singing while hiking. Moose don't scare at all; in fact they enjoy charging...but so far, they've avoided my off-key voice!

Last year we came home to 44" of snow on the ground. This time, no snow, no mud and a few wildflowers & cacti blooming. Very bad for our economy, but good for my fitness plan! Supposed to snow a little tonight.

Santa Barbara was great...found a route to bike from my little town to the great paths in SB for nice ride. Rode 20 mi. home from church once! We had a steady fitness routine & that helped..so I must do that at home, too. DH is having a knee replacement next week...so the routine will begin after some recovery time for him. Our health insurance was cancelled May 1..so I've been frantically seeking insurance for an "undesirable" client. Thankful for state-mandated insurance -- or we'd be cooked.

You have a big TO-DO list...whew! Very ambitious. What about bike training? When's that big ride? Eager to read your blog (hint, hint!) emoticon I'll post, too!

Hello! I've been thinking about you and hope all is well. Wondering if you are coming this side of the mountains for any walks/runs? I'd love to see you. I will be participating in the Bellevue 10K this weekend. Hugs to you.

Helllllooooooooo? Hope you're on your bike and having a wonderful time w/ your bike chick pals! And that everything else is going OK!

We have 1 more week in CA and I'm trying to be a "big girl" and not whine about leaving...but I'm failing miserably. I can so understand your love of the Pacific.

Wishing you well every day!
