7/1/13 - 196.2 - my temporary goal is to stay under 200 while I am, cooking, cleaning and entertaining the whole family and guests at our beach house.

6/15/13 - I reached my favorite weight 189.8.

6/9/13 - I am struggling just to stay below 195 now. My maintenance anniversary is coming up on 7/2. I'm not even staying the same as when I started this year. I am 7.6 lbs. more already.

5/11/13 - I am learning how to use the new I-pad my children have given me for Mother's Day tomorrow. This way I will be able to log onto spark-people more often and remind myself of my daily goals.

1/25/13 - My 6 year anniversary with Sparkpeople. On 1/1/13 I weighed 2.2lbs less than I weighed on 1/1/12 - I achieved my goal for 2012. Now in 2013 I want to stay the same.

10/26/12 - I have joined the Maintenance and Transistion to Maintenance team to get help and advice on how to stay at my original goal of 187. It has always been hard for me to keep the weight off once I got to the point where I was aiming for. 183 would be ideal, but I will be happy to stay anywhwere in the 180's. That is the idea to finally be happy with what I weigh for the first time in my 65 years - 51 years have been spent "dieting" to get to this unacheivable number on the weight chart according to my height and frame. Enough already! Stop the insanity! 187 is my personal happy balance point.

9/17/12 - I am going to get back to my daily routine after having a fun summer. I want to at least weigh the same as when I started 2012 not more.

1/1/12 - I want 2012 to be a positive year for me. Being positive about my weight is something new to me. I changed my Spark ID to NEWNANCY 2012 so I can remind myself everyday I have reached my goal. Now comes the very hard work of keeping it there. It has taken me 4 years with Sparkpeople to reach a weight that I am comfortable with. By keeping track of my weight daily, monthly annually and writing down my private feelings in a journal I can look back and see where I am, where I was and where I want to be.

Thank you so much for your kind words, but please give the Glory to God, as He's the one that's been directing and instructing me!

The Curves here in town, closed up, like so many others, and I really do miss going. There's not another one around for 100 miles, to my knowledge.

Hey NANCY,
I LOVED just reading your post to me on my page! I am beaming with pride, for you! Your husband will have tantrums so relax and watch him go twist himself into a pretzel. Stay out of his compulsion and you will definitely find your way to health. Stay in touch. One day I may be visiting my brother in Boston and we might meet. Love you making something I said as your mantra. How cool is that!

Meanwhile keep reinforcing yourself and Boston will eventually thaw (hardy har har) but I know your snows are no laughing matter.
