Grateful for New Sweet Breezes in My Life!

January 01, 2011 I started my journey and was so happy to find Spark People February 19 2011. So on February 19, 2011 I started with Spark People and on February 19, 2014 I celebrated third year with Spark People and I am proud to say I kept my commitment to me to be kind to me, and that I deserve it !!!!!!

So on February 19, 2011 I started with Spark People and on February 19, 2014 I celebrated third year with Spark People and I am proud to say I kept my commitment to me to be kind to me, and that I deserve it !!!!!!

Hi , I have met many goals in my life which I am very proud of such as my education, working in healthcare, and I have achieved all the comforts of life, for myself and my 2 teens.
I and am becoming physically healthy. I am enjoying being in a body that can do all the activities, I want to do in my life with great ease. I am a very adventures person, for example I like to down hill ski, and white water rafting.
I am becoming healthy and I will live a long active, fun life.
I am feeling more attractive.

I have on and off for many years to tried to eat right, well I thought I was but I was not eating right. Thanks to Spark People I learn't that I was not loosing weight due to my eating habits. I was staving my body of calories and then bingeing, therefore I kept gaining weight.

The other issue was that I was stuck in the 190 s for at least 4 years and had crept to 205.5 at times then I would get to 192 only to level off at 198. Finally, in the 3 rd week with sparks with a loss of 3 pounds I was 188.5 and I knew then, I had finally, broke the barrier of the nineties where I was for 4 years.

My journey after my Half Marothon Oct 2011 I had many issues with Shin Splints and Feet and ankle pain and so 2012 was a year of healing up then getting hurt again. I wanted to be a runner so badly I would over do my exercise and cause injury again, to finally in the fall on 2012 I think I learnt lesson . All of 2012 I floated in the 170,s .

My Goal is to loose 70 pounds with Spark People which will bring me to 125.5 pounds. ALSO MY GOAL from my resolution on Jan 01 2011 It want to loose 80 pounds which will bring me to 125.5 pounds!

ON May 23, 2011 Mon Walked first 5K on my own.
TOTAL 52 K km for May month

On June 4, 2011 completed my first organized event the Auther James 15 Annual Sun Run completed I walked it in 1 hr and 20 min. Goal Reached!
TOTAL 44 Kms. for June month.

July Month 2011, I was healthy and strong enough to go to 2 outdoor concerts in Deer Lake for KISS and 6 days later Halifax for Metallica. I stood and danced and head banged with my 16 year old son for 12 hrs each concert. OH YA! Goal reached being active with my teens!
TOTAL 56 Kms. for July month.

August month 2011, went to Halifax to see Metallica danced and stood for 15 hours. Yes I was head banging again with my son. Total 62.4 km for August month.

Oct 9, 2011 I completed my First Half Marathon in 3 hours and 48 min. and 11 seconds. This works out to be 11 mins per KM. I ran and walked the first 10 km and I walked the next 10 km.

RUN - May 6 2012, Take the Plunge Spring Opener 5K GOAL MET!

Feels so good for my children to be proud of me. They really do see what mom is doing and are impacted by our choices. Amazing!!!

I am so grateful to me for sticking with me through this beautiful journey. I am so grateful for my 2 teens, my mom, my sister, all my friends, and all my spark friends for all your support .

On Dec 27,2012 I fell backwards and hit my head which caused a Concussion and I have been off work and laying down 95 % of the time to ease my Post Concussion Syndrome Symptoms and Cervegogenic Dizzynesss Syndrome. Sadly I gained a lot of my weight back. Good News as February 2014 my third spark anniversary I had lost 25.05 pounds which includes january 2011 the day I made a resolution. While I am still off work I have
taken the opportunity to read lots of information on nutrition and I am proud to say that I have put the things I am learning in practice for example, I stopped eating anything with flower sugar and chemicals . I never gave up on myself and my goals. I guess their are bumps in the road but never give up. I will Reach my goals and I will keep adding goals for me to reach.

STILL WORKING TOWARDS A HEALTHIER ME!!!
On January 1, 2011 I started my year with the intention to exercise and try to eat more vegetables, which I did follow through with.
IN January I was 205.5 pounds this is before I started with spark people. I was 194.5 pounds when I weight in the first day starting with Spark People.
205.5 pounds - 194.5 pounds = 10 pounds lost before I started spark people.

My Goals:

June 4, 2011 I walked the 8 K Sun Run Completed! Walked 1 hr and 20 mins. GOAL MET!

October 9, 2011 GOAL MET First Half Marathon 21 K
3 hrs 48 mins. Ran walked half ways then walked the rest. YA ME

To Complete the C25K 8 week program and be a RUNNER!!! GOAL MET!

RUN- The 85th Tely 10 Mile Road Race in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Use my Nutrition and Exercise trackers.

Asking Myself: "Is what I am about to eat going to nourish my body?"

Keep changing the types of activities I do!

WHAT MOTIVATES ME:

Reading positive blogs from members who have succeeded. Spark People, offering a pat on the back no mater what your feeling.

Clothes that fit better...without being a size larger.

Working out and getting stronger.

The scale moving even slightly in the right direction.

Feeling better when I eat right.

Having more energy.

Sunny days and positive people motivate me to be the best I can be.

My family being excited and proud of me.

I remember my goal that I want to be healthy and live a long active, fun life.

I Purged my clothes Closet ! Felt good!

I bought new clothes ! My clothes make me feel that I have found me again!

Personally I have not had the problem of doing everything correctly and not losing but I know others have.

Go to your search and put in 8 Reasons Why You're Not Losing Weight. It is an article that may help
