I joined SP in Feb 2012 and within two years I got out of a bad news relationship, gained alot of self confidence, quit smoking, quit drinking, lost over 50 pounds, lowered my cholesterol, and found my Mr Right.

It was a long journey to get where I was & I've gained 20 pounds back over the past year (2015-2016). I've learned so much along the way & I'm ready to get back on track. I'm a work in progress and I know I'm changing my lifestyle so it will be easier to make better choices & stay healthy.

I signed up for the 2016 Fall 5% Challenge that starts Sept 24th and lost 2 pounds before it started! I'm psyched!

I love to spread the Spark and have come to love to meal plan, shop healthy, cook healthy and even exercise!

Fitness Minutes: 69,438

My Goals:
To loose 5% in the 2016 Fall 5% Challenge (9.5 pounds)

To get my total cholesterol under 200.

Hike the Grand Canyon by 11/30/17.

My Program:
2016 Fall Tiger Monarchs

Fall 5% Challenge Exercise Commitment:
- Keep my streak going - to walk first thing every morning (started 8/1/16)
- Daily Step Goal - 15,000
- Stretch daily
- Weights - 3 days/week

Fall 5% Challenge Diet Commitment:
- at least 5 servings fruits & veggies
- 20-30 grams fiber
- at least 8 glasses water
- between 1310-1660 calories
- I will track everything I eat & drink

5% Challenge Commitment Plan
With 70 minutes of daily exercise, and eating between 1310 - 1660 calories a day, I will lose 9.5 pounds in 8 weeks.

Personal Information:

I have a 40 hour/week desk job & realize the importance of being active! I love my Fitbit!

I'm grateful I found SP in 2012 & for the Sparkfriends I've made along our journey!

    Long story . . . the insanity of my living situation . . . will tell more later but not to worry; I'm either numb or I seem to be coping better than usual. All that cleaning yesterday was one of my paid jobs. I clean the church I attend and since it's in use all week long Saturday evening is my only time to get in there and get it done! Now I'm sort of working on my own place; counter tops not always neat and tidy. Hugs.
