3/28/15 riding the chairlift back down to Gatlinburg, it snowed the night before!
My favorite Fitbit band!
I joined SP in Feb 2012 and within two years I got out of a bad news relationship, gained alot of self confidence, quit smoking, quit drinking heavily, lost over 50 pounds, lowered my cholesterol, and found my Mr Right.
It's been a long journey to get where I am and I've learned so much along the way. I'm not quite where I want my weight to be, but it's a work in progress and I know I've changed my lifestyle so it's easier to make better choices.
I love to spread the Spark and have come to love to meal plan, shop healthy, cook healthy and even exercise!
Good luck fellow Sparkfriends! You too can do this!

I have raised my beautiful daughter - Amber, and am now an empty nester. Just me, my wonderful BF - Nick, and cat - Smokey.
I have a desk job & realize the importance of being active!
I'm grateful I found SP in 2012 & for the Sparkfriends I've made on this Sparkjourney!

Hey there girlfriend. Thanks for the goodie (running shoes). I really had to laugh because if you could see the shoes I'm wearing you'd definitely know it's high time I got a new pair. Now I won't have to. Ha ha. Seriously, what I'm wearing is pretty pathetic.
Re: the flyers. Didn't finish last evening because I ran out of steam. Didn't even reach 10,000 steps but 'walked' the extra 900 in order to reach that goal. That was the extra 1000 steps for YOU because I really did not want to do it. I put everything else on hold till today because I was truly beat. Got 6 hours of sleep before the alarm went off AND Fitbit tells me it was 99% efficient meaning I SLEPT SOUNDLY. That rarely happens.
I deliver flyers to about 210 houses (4 streets in total); years ago I had 4 routes and covered 800 houses. I'm older now. Considering I've done this for 22 years and they have only ever paid half a cent (yes, half a penny) per flyer I'm certainly not making big bucks. It's kind of insulting but I figure it forces me to move on certain days of the week when otherwise I'd be reading or on the computer. Winter is especially brutal because it gets extremely cold here in Manitoba. I complain a lot during the winter months and always think of quitting but . . .
Anyway, enough about me. I thought your daily step goal was 3,000 so how is it that you've been getting 5,000???? You wonder how I know you so well. Once upon a time I was like you and likely still would be except age eventually slaps one in the face no matter how much they might wish they could do. I say, enjoy it while you can but don't overdo it to the point of injury. Put that foot up, right now!! Hugs. Have a wonderful weekend.
