Back for Round 2. Hoping for a Knockout

***Update - April 16th, 2014***
Life is crazy and so is weight loss! It is one of those things that if not closely monitored can become weight gain, and THAT is where I am at. I weigh in at a hefty 233.2 lbs today, 18 lbs above my lowest weight of 215 lbs. Why did I gain weight? I was tired of focusing on it, I am enjoying being a newlywed, I started eating treats and fast food and kept doing it, and I didn't work out as often. With that being said I am not disgusted. I am glad that I have the mindset to check it before it gets out of hand. And now I have a new goal: to get pregnant! My hubby and I have decided that when I release this 18 pounds of weight gain, that we will try for babies! So I am refocusing my efforts to regain my health and my fabulous jaw line by eating well and exercising more.

***Update - October 7th, 2013***

I am Mrs. Brown now!!!! YAAAYYY! I had every intention of being 200 lbs at this point in my journey. I have actually gained 7 lbs from my lowest weight of 215. I am disappointed but not discouraged. I am enjoying being a wife and I am regaining control of this wacky weight-loss train by joining Weight Watchers.

***UPDATE - May 24, 2013****

Well it has been one year and I have come a mighty long way! A year ago my initial goal was to get to 200 lbs by this date. Instead I chose to live a healthy AND happy life, focused on living while dieting and exercising. I managed to lose 56 lbs and for that I am very proud! There were times when I was discouraged with my progress, but I never quit. Every other attempt in my life, I quit at when it got too hard. This time I stuck it out and tried something else rather than quitting all together. I have had amazing support and I am looking forward to marrying the love of my life in a little over 3 months. At 216 lbs, I am hoping to step on the scale on my wedding day much closer to Onederland!

***UPDATE - Feb 16, 2013***
I have been at this weight loss journey for 9 months and have lost more weight than I ever had before. These 54 pounds feel like a 100 to me. It has freed me from so many health issues, given me more confidence and also made me EXTREMELY tired! I am trying to keep the momentum but with working a second job and preparing for my upcoming wedding, I am exhausted. I originally had a goal of 180 lbs (92 lbs loss) but at 218 I am comfortable with losing 20-25 more pounds and moving into maintenance. I hope to be at that maintenance point by my birthday of July 4th. Wish me luck!

**UPDATE - Oct 21, 2012***
It has been exactly five months since I got my spark back and jumped back on the weight loss rollercoaster. In these five months I have went from a 22W to a 14W and have lost 38 pounds. I have ran a race every month since July and I can now run 4 miles without stopping. I have finished my longest race, a 5-miler in 1:05:38. I am proud of that. Currently I am experiencing a three week plateau of no weight loss. I am disappointed but I am encouraged knowing that I still feel the spark inside. I am going to re-evaluate my current plan, switch up my routine and get tighter on my nutrition.

May 21, 2012
This is my second go around with Sparkpeople. The first time around I lost almost 50 pounds and gained a ton of confidence. Unfortunately I got comfortable and some issues from my past pushed me back to a place I didn't want to be. Food tagged along. I have worked through most of those issues and want to gain my confidence back for the second and hopefully last time. I turned 29 years old July 4th, 2012 and I intend to go into my 30's fit, fun, flirty, and fabulous!

Great Jon Nikki on tracking your food consistently- you will see results again that way. It really is mostly about the food, although execrcise has many, many benefiots too (cardiac health, mood improvement, ect.)

I wish you the best releasing those 15 lbs- I know it feels defeating to gain some back, but the good news is, it doesn't have to be permenant. I have been losing 1-2 lbs per week since I restarted in May. This was after the pregnancy weight stopped coming off and when I weighed myself 2 months after the baby was born, I gained 4 of the lbs I had lost BACK since the baby was born! I was going in the wrong direction and knew I had to make changes.
Many days, I have been so overwhelmed with 2, sometimes 3 boys (including my stepsons) I don't make enough time or save any energy for exercise, but just by eating within my range, I see results- and then when i do allow myself to exercise, I see bigger results.

I am here cheering you on!
Lisa

I measured my arms on Sept 1st, and when I measured Oct 1st they *might* have been down 1/4 inch, but it's hard to tell, so I'm going to check again on Nov 1st and see. I'm *trying* to be patient. =)

Hope you are well!!
