Each day that I make healthy choices I feel that energetic glow that makes life so joyous. And that glow improves with practice. I choose to embrace who I am today. And I take responsibility for the quality of my life by making responsible and healthy choices in all aspects of my life. The by-product of a Healthy lifestyle is a healthy body weight. I'm not exactly sure what number that is for me. If I keep my focus on living my healthiest every day, I am sure that a lot of different numbers will be healthy for me, along the way.

My Program:
On August 9th, I went back to my old account on Atkins.com and started following Induction (the first stage with 20 net carbs. Net carbs are total grams carbs - fiber grams.) At my Dr.s appointment 10 days later, I told my Dr. that my blood glucose levels were too low at bedtime (78) and she told me to go off meds (Invokana 100mg) and agreed to let me try and keep my sugar levels low by diet and exercise. I keep accruing information and have since acquired a copy of Dr. Fung's book "The Obesity Code" where he recommends a program of Intermittent fasting to lower insulin levels in the bloodstream. I have been eating a full day of a low carb diet one day and just eating dinner on the alternate day for about a week now. My body seems to be responding well to this and I am losing weight. Even more significant to me is my fasting blood sugars are in non-diabetic ranges. I keep waiting for them to creep up, but so far they have been lower than when I was taking medication. I will continue on

You are right about 85% dark chocolate. I have a hard time over eating it. Its been my secret weapon in the past. As much as I try not to keep it in my desk drawer I may have to stash some for awhile. I think it will help me get past this sugar hump I've gotten myself back into.

I love your "greens" pic on your page. I was on the app the other night and someone posted in #keto that they could never eat "those foods" forever. I wonder what they think you eat on keto? So when I look at your picture of all the healthy weapons you have what I realize is those people are really saying that they could never give up processed junk food and just eat real food for the rest of their lives. Do they know how ridiculous that is?

Thanks for the comment on my blog.
I need to treat myself as I would with a dear friend. I use all sorts of mind tricks to do or not do stuff, but in the end, I'm the one paying for it. I need to keep my mind clear with the reasons I am doing this. To focus my energy where it pays and makes me feel great!
    Have a Fantastic Friday too!
It's pouring rain, in here Quebec! But it won't stop me from going walking!

Thank you for reading my Friday Happy Hour blog, "Walking A Thin Line".

Eugene Bertin once said, "There is a purifying power in laughter. It is truth in palatable form. It is instant vacation. Seeing the comical side of many situations makes life a great deal easier. It's like riding through life on sensitive springs that ease every jolt."

Yes, I wholeheartedly agree that laughter is one of the best forms of medicine. So, I hope you'll join me once again for some more laughter and giggles as we take a lighter look at life later today at the next Friday Happy Hour.
