The Omnivore's Dilemma by Michael Pollan: accessible writing on the sources of our food, organics farming methods and the unfortunate prevalence of processed corn in our diets. "Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants."

The End of Over Eating by David Kessler: describes how people, places and environment influence our eating habits. Also delves into the mysteries of food science and marketing and their influence our preferences for taste and quantity.

The Eat Clean Diet - Tosca Reno: taken at face value - not to the extreme - good basic principles on "eating clean"

Thank you for the goodie! It's so funny because at the beginning of spring I googled "seedlings" to get some wallpaper for the iPad, and that's the exact picture I chose, not even realizing that it was a Spark Goodie. When I first saw it, I thought, "How did she get a picture of my wallpaper?"

So, yep, feeling good and trying to get something going here. It was no good the other way!

You went to Costa Rica?! How have I drifted off so far into lala land that I didn't know that? I think I missed responding to your last email, and fell out of touch. Hope you had a fantastic time! I'm not one for travel, but that's a place that entices me.
