My Goals:
1. I want to get to my healthy weight by the end of the year 2012 and reduce my body fat percentage. 2. I want to make healthy eating and exercising a habit, not just something I will do for some time till I get to my goal weight. This is not about dieting to me, but rather changing my lifestyle. 3. I hope to educate people though my own struggles and successes about permanent weight loss and maintenance.
My Program:
I picked up running about a year ago and will be running my first 10K (October 07, 2012) very soon. In addition to that, I do home workout videos (Fitness Blender and Sparkpeople) and I also strength train at the gym (I have this little desire to be able to compete in a bikini competition...we'll see if that is possible). I am always looking for new ideas and ways to improve my fitness. I have the Insanity video set home and I think I will move to it next after my 10K before maybe training for a half-marathon (NIke's Women Half-Marathon- October 2013).
