I am 69 years young, married to my first love for 49 years. We live in Maine, VACATIONLAND. We came here from England and intended to stay just 2 years. We have stayed here 47 years in the same city and have been very happy here. Our sons had to move away from here alas to find work. That gives us two places we need to go to visit. Our other son is in upstate New York. He is the closest but you cannot get there from here in the winter. There is just too much snow in the White and Green ...

Summer we try to catch up with the grandchildren.

My Goals:
My goal is to be as healthy, fit and happy as possible. I like to see places in Maine in our small Motor Home and drive it as long as I can.

My Program:
I have always tracked food due to allergies so that goal is almost met. Improving my fitness (after a back injury cramped my style) is a little harder. I use my stepper to stregthen my leg that was adversely affected from the surgery. I love to walk outdoors in the summer. In the winter I have to overcome my fear of falling on ice so I walk on the treadmill daily.

Personal Information:
My name is Pat my mother was Nora, hence Noraspat. I was born during World War 2 in England. My mother, brother and I were homeless till I was about 10 years old. I never met our father. Our mother always told us. We will be Clean, Honest and you will both be well educated. That was the way it was. We were poor and happy living with any relative who would take us in for a while.

Other Information:
My husband and I rent movies, nothing nasty we lived with enough nasty in our childhood during the war. We like comedy and old classic Mystery. We miss Alistair Cooke masterpiece, the newer ones are often not as good as the older ones, times change and I do not. I ran an alterations shop in town for 24 years and loved doing it. The boys are in Upstate NY, California and Nevada and I miss them a lot.

Hi Pat, don't want you to think I'm that wonderful. I go to the Y once a week on Thursdays for 2 pool classes.

Otherwise I walk 3 blocks to my community pool morning and evening, and do my own version of a workout with lots of treading water. It helps my neuropathy.

Hi Pat:

Thanks for the Goodie. I don't have a garden, but now I have a garden gnome. emoticon

I'm thinking of coming to Portland near the end of September on for my Birthday. I have some vacation days booked then and would really enjoy meeting up with you.

Take care.

Pat,
I'm from Ohio. My eight remaining siblings live here. My youngest sister was going to have a Memorial day party, but her FIL is very ill. I'm visiting my family, my best to end from my child bearing years, and my BIL and his wife.
Erik is glad to be here, I'm glad to have survived yet another drive. and I pray I will be of some support to my "baby" sister, her dear sweet hubby and two daughters.
I'll try to check in, just not as much as from home.
