I am 70 years young, married to my first love for 50 years. We live in Maine, VACATIONLAND. We came here from England and intended to stay just 2 years. We have stayed here 48 years in the same city and have been very happy here. Our sons had to move away from here alas to find work. That gives us two places we need to go to visit. Our other son is in upstate New York. He is the closest but you cannot get there from here in the winter. There is just too much snow in the White and Green ...

Summer we try to catch up with the grandchildren.

My Goals:
My goal is to be as healthy, fit and happy as possible. I like to see places in Maine in our small Motor Home and drive it as long as I can.

My Program:
I have always tracked food due to allergies so that goal is almost met. Improving my fitness (after a back injury cramped my style) is a little harder. I use my stepper to stregthen my leg that was adversely affected from the surgery. I love to walk outdoors in the summer. In the winter I have to overcome my fear of falling on ice so I walk on the treadmill daily.

Personal Information:
My name is Pat my mother was Nora, hence Noraspat. I was born during World War 2 in England. My mother, brother and I were homeless till I was about 10 years old. I never met our father. Our mother always told us. We will be Clean, Honest and you will both be well educated. That was the way it was. We were poor and happy living with any relative who would take us in for a while.

Other Information:
My husband and I rent movies, nothing nasty we lived with enough nasty in our childhood during the war. We like comedy and old classic Mystery. We miss Alistair Cooke masterpiece, the newer ones are often not as good as the older ones, times change and I do not. I ran an alterations shop in town for 24 years and loved doing it. The boys are in Upstate NY, California and Nevada and I miss them a lot.

Catching up with all your adventures again!! I'll tell you, I've never had a summer like this with so much to be done. I just can't keep up it's been so hectic! Next weekend another wedding. I got my dress, shoes (sensible heel), jewelry and all picked out and ready to go today. I am determined that neither I nor my DH will be running around at the last minute like a crazy person!! DH has new glasses and that is enough for him to deal with right now. Such a hard guy to do adjustments on.

Thanks so much for your kind and comforting words. Hubby did well until the therapist went to get him up and he was dizzy and his BP was low. They sat him on the edge of the bed for a bit but the dizziness did not abate so they said the nurses would try to get him up later. One of the therapist said they probably came too soon He only just got to his room at 3:30 and they were there a 4:45. I think once he gets up later this evening he will feel better. I made him eat some and drink a lot and his BP did come up after drinking several glasses of water. He did finally take his pain medicine and he was really tired so my son and I left at 7 so he could sleep. The plan is home on Thursday pending his getting up and around and then next week outpatient PT at the rehab hospital near us. I think once the pain starts to wear off he won't regret it either!!!

Thanks again so much!!
