Looking at 100+ pounds to lose has sidetracked me often...my perfectionism is an issue as well. I am working on realistic goal setting and motivation.
I'm following the Primal Blueprint by Mark Sisson. This helps me combat my insulin resistance. After 26 years of following "conventional wisdom" to lose weight and ending up at 250+, I'm ready for a change!

You aren't kidding about the food tour!!! Formerly, when I would plan a trip to NOLA I would start thinking about what I was going to eat!! But there are so many wonderful things about that place, I'm sure I will have a great time regardless.
Thanks for commenting on my blog and thank you for the encouragement!!
Can you hear my loud cheers for you for being in the top five for team fitness minutes this week? Every move you make brings you closer to your goals! Keep moving keeping your eyes on succeeding! You are worth it and I believe in YOU!!! Ruthie
Hi. I was feeling pretty hopeless again because I'm having trouble getting myself to the gym and struggling with my food, too.
But then Iread this comment you left on one of IMAGINE_IT's blogs:
"...have I lost my morbid obese state?

And my hope came back!! Not sure why, but that resonated with me. So I just wanted to say thank you for inspiring me. You just never know when sharing your thoughts on someone's Spark page is gonna help somebody else, right?
