I lost 71 pounds in 2009. In 2012 I gained 8 and was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Since then I have been getting proper medication and adjustments and have lost 3.

Thanks to SP and my various team mates I have learned how to deal with these life curves rather than giving in to them and eating myself chubby.

In February 2009 it was time for me to make some major changes in my life, healthwise but it felt like I was only treading water and needed some help. That's when someone told me about SparkPeople.

And, sparks flew, so to speak because things started clicking and I started losing weight and learning how to modify my food intake to make all my goals to change possible.

Exercise? Not until I figured out it was necessary to get healthy.

So, my determination to get and stay healthy forever has only been possible to achieve with SparkPeople.

Lipservice doesn't make for change. Only fork down and activity up does.

Smiles, I was actually considered tall until I gave birth to a family of giants! I used to be 5'6", tall for a girl in the 50's. My daughter is a little over 6'2", her son's well over 6', one very close to 7. My granddaughter is 12 so probably will grow some more but I don't think she'll be 6'. Then, I lost a couple of inches and am now 5'4". Small is not an adjective I hear very much but I kinda like it. Thanks for the visit and comments.

I am happy CAT; I came through a couple of tough decades but now I really mean it when I say life is good. Not always easy, but definitely good.

Thank you for the flower Cat. Things went well last night, I think the visitation was very healing. Still some rough times ahead but it will get better. Hugs.

Hi Cat, Yes, guys came early and stacked the mulch where I wanted it; then I cleaned up and spent the afternoon downtown with DD at DGD's dance competition. Came home and walked Sugar then plated a tree in the back part of the yard. Finished just before it got dark. Full day and I really enjoyed it. I can take my time with the mulch. I put it down as I get areas cleared/planted so will be at it through April. Not something I want someone else to do. My own worse enemy? Life is good.
