One choice at a time.

There are a bunch of moments that should have qualified as "rock bottom" moments in my past. Only being able to wear plus sizes, sizing out of the biggest plus size, airplane seatbelt extenders, the dreaded rollercoaster harness that wouldn't buckle, getting married in a size 26 wedding gown, weighing 312 pounds at the end of my pregnancy and dealing with high BP throughout the pregnancy, barely being able to keep up with my toddler because I was so out of shape... oh-I've been there. There are a bunch of moments that should have qualified as "rock bottom" moments in my past. Only being able to wear plus sizes, sizing out of the biggest plus size, airplane seatbelt extenders, the dreaded rollercoaster harness that wouldn't buckle, getting married in a size 26 wedding gown, weighing 312 pounds at the end of my pregnancy and dealing with high BP throughout the pregnancy, barely being able to keep up with my toddler because I was so out of shape... oh-I've been there. For some reason, it took a scale registering "300.0 lbs" the day after my 29th birthday to REALLY wake me up.

That wasn't even my highest weight, but it was a weight that left me with no energy. I was trapped in my body and desperate to feel more comfortable in my own skin. I looked at that list and the even scarier one ahead of me. I decided to do the best that I could each day, and make the healthiest choices possible.

Over 4 months in and I still have so much to learn but I have come very far from where I was. I'm starting to see a happier person underneath my shell. I accept the fact that this is a lifelong, imperfect process. I am not a shining example of perfect choices all the time but I AM someone who refuses to give up on herself. I genuinely look forward to the future and what life will look like in a healthier place.

My Goals:
Met goals:
#1. Lose the equivalent weight of my son, approximately 27 pounds (DONE! 5/28/14)

#2. Lose 10% (DONE! 6/11/14)

#3. Drop a pants size
(DONE! 6/5/14)

#4. Lose the most weigh I've lost at one time, 40lbs total (DONE! 6/25)

#5. Complete a 5K (DONE! Walked/jogged a glow run in 56:03 on 7/12)

#6. Weigh my lowest weight I've been since I've been together with my husband, less than 255 lbs (DONE! 7/16)

Short term goals:

#1. Complete 2 weeks of C25K

#2. Exercise 3 days/week for 4 weeks in a row

#3. Lose 2nd 10% (57 lbs total)

Long term:
#1. Buy a seasons pass to an amusement park and not worry about fitting on the roller coasters!

#2. Shop in the "regular size" section

#3. Have no trouble keeping up with my son

#4. Jog a 5K

My Program:
Staying within the SP calorie range, exercising as much as possible.
