One step at a time. I like to focus on balance in my life because this makes me more emotionally ready to handle things and to be healthier to lose weight and accomplish other goals in my life.

Social - Being connected socially through communication and activities
Emotional - Expressing feelings and dealing with issues
Psychological - Having a sense of purpose and self-esteem
Spiritual - Connecting with God daily and putting Him first
Physical - Activity that moves my body and strengthens it
Intellectual - Learning, knowledge, wisdom, and mind stregthening
Financial - Sticking to my budget and accomplish future goals

My Goals:
~ To be able to dive backwards off the deep end of the pool again
~ To wear a shirt that doesn't have to cover my belly fat or large butt
~ To be able to jog for fitness without hurting myself

My Program:
1. Only healthy foods in moderation after 7pm.
2. Eat out as little as possible to save money and junk in the trunk.
3. Cardio exercise 3 times per week
4. Weights 3 times per week
5. Eat vegetables once a day.
6. Eat fruit once a day.
7. Be easy with myself about my struggles.
8. Prayer and Bible reading daily.
9. Stretch every morning before starting the day.
10. Drink plenty of water

Im a 38 year old woman from California.

Other Information:
I'm a Christian. I most of all enjoy rock and hip-hop music, swimming in the river, hiking through the wilderness, horticultue kickboxing, pottery, painting, blogging, and my cat.

I want to learn how to play soccer, swing (or other) dance, and I want to join a hiking club, learn to ski/snowboard, and play soccer, softball, or volleyball.

    We all need to laugh & that certainly did give this gal a hardy chuckle or two. emoticon

    Oh, precious young woman, thirty-eight is so very young. I would so enjoy going back to that age for just one week --- if I could take what I have learned over the years & use it for that week.

    My prayer for you is that, no matter what came in the years before, you will choose to enjoy being whatever age you find yourself during the coming years. There is so much for you to look forward experiencing & enjoying.

    You are right. Yoga does help to lose weight. It builds muscle and promotes flexibility. I was at a food show and talked to a yoga teacher and she said my doctor was wrong, that yoga would help me lose weight.
