Nothing will stop me except death.
I have been part of Spark People for three years. In those years I have lost more than 80 pounds WOOHOO and gained a better sense of who I am and where this journey is going. i have gained a better knowledge of nutrition and that being consistent is the key to success. Consistency has many meanings and phases. I have found that though I don't wake up wanting to run a marathon, I do enjoy all of the 5ks I ahve done, I DID A MARATHON AND FINISHED, slowly but that was a huge goal ...

I have also learned that a number on a scale does not define anyone. I have learned that no one can push me more than I can push myself. I am not a failure if some weight comes back, I just have to keep moving forward. No one is going to stop me unless I allow them to. No one can stop you either, go for the goal, and then never look back without a smile at how far you have come.

My Program:
my goals for 2013 Stay focused on the goal, See the nutritionist and maintain a healthier view on food as fuel instead of what taste sweet or rich.
Personal Information:
I am a mom of 6 a grandmother of 11. I need to get healthy for so many reasons and they are too numerous to list. The main one is that my brother died@46 and my father died @63 of massive coronaries. My two older brothers have both had heart attacks, so I am very afraid. I also had a grandmother die of a stroke and one in a diabetic coma, so watching my weight maybe beginning late but better late than never.
Other Information:
I love to quilt, crochet,cross stitch and to read. I crochet for HAP which provides afghans for those service personnel wounded in the current war. I love mysteries and most authors that write them.
