My name is Lucy. I live in Nairobi, Kenya. I am married to the most wonderful guy and we have 2 boys, ages nine and five.

I was mostly skinny growing up, then I got married, got my first son and I guess I just got too comfortable. Before I knew it, I had become very uncomfortable in my body.

For me its all about being healthy and fit, the weightloss is just a bonus ( and a good one at that!). I love playing football with my boys and I hope to be able to do that for the longest time. I also realised that I am an endorphin junkie. I hardly weigh myself, I know that as long as I keep moving and I eat a sensible healthy diet, the weight will fall off. I do not want to be slowwed down or discouraged my a number on the scale.

Karura Forrest! I love the place. Maybe I can join you on Saturdays once in a while, we will be taking 1 Saturday a month off from now on.

Also my workload has been reviewed and my bosses have admitted to overloading me and now I am back to my original job description! Yeah, that means a lot less stress. Some is still being defined, but I don;t have to actively manage projects any more.....

Hi Girl, I do miss our walks. But with the new job we work every Saturday. These days I only run on the treadmill. Have taken up golf though to get some better workouts in.
Have joined Vetlab, they also have a new little gym, so I go there as well. Have gained again this year, due to hormonal imbalance and also overwork...... Now that I am focusing more again, I have maintained and lost a little, but am still at my heaviest ever. Doctor's have no idea of how to get hormon's sorted out short of HRT, which is not an option for me...... So have to see what i can do.

How are you doing? Boys must be big now. Are they still playing football

Hi Lucy,

thank you for commenting onmy BLOG this morning. It is always so nice to hear fromother members here at Spark. I love your attitude about not weighing yourself and just staying active.
I see you love the feeling of endorphins that you get by staying active as much as I do.
