I've been Sparking since November. It's become a lifestyle for me. I like to start my day by reading some health-oriented articles. Tracking food and fitness is a necessity for me. I'm not always checking in on my Spark Groups, but when I do, it's nice to know others like you are out there sharing similar (or different) struggles. My Goals:
I want to head into my retirement years in good health. Ideally, I need to lose 50 pounds.

My Program:
I've been using sparkpeople to plan and log my daily meals, and to log my fitness workouts. Logging these things has always helped me in the past.

Personal Information:
I'm originally from New York, then Maine, now Indiana. I have become a full-time fiction writer.

Other Information:
I'm a Constant Reader of Stephen King, have become a Constant Reader of George R.R. Martin and J.K. Rowling. My family (including DOG), reading fiction, and writing my novel and short stories are my great passions.

Hi, and thank you for posting your introduction to Writers :) I'm one of the co-leaders over there, though I haven't been very active lately. It's been a busy month for me, and I'm trying to catch up on what's been going on while I've been AWOL.

Congratulations on having good success with with your fitness - I really need to step up with that. It looks like you and I are trying to develop similar writing habits. Though I work part-time, I really want to be writing daily and giving it several hours at a time. (I'm shooting for 6 days a week, at 7 hours a day ... but nearly half of that is for blogging and other writing, so my novel is supposed to get approx. 4 hours, six days a week.)

Maybe we should have a simple thread, or a goal that we can check off, over at Writers. Hmmm. I'll look into how we might do that.

I am new at this "Community" part, and sometimes have trouble navigating in the fitness tracker. Any comments about using the fitness tracker would be welcome. It's not as user-friendly, to me, as the meal tracker. Thank you.
