You don't go thru a deep personal transformation without some kind of dark night of the soul.

I was a skinny kid, an overweight young adult, and now I'm a more or less 'normal' weight not-quite middle-aged adult.
Lost 100#, have kept it off for several years, but it's a hard journey with alot of twists and turns.
I ride horses. I read. I lift weights, run, practice yoga. I have 2 children and a husand of over 23 years.
I'm a stay-at-home-Mom altho that's a misnomer as I'm almost never home!!

I bet your paint makes a flashy dressage horse. The driving is fun..esp when the ponies get light and in self carriage mode. They are Welsh/Morgan crosses...full brothers but so different.

Hi there...nice to talk with another horse person. I have enjoyed riding horses in the past but have driven since 1989. I rode til about 2 years ago...just let the weight, stiffness and lack of time get the best of me...so time to get that in check...meanwhile I can train and keep my ponies in good condition by driving. I have two large ponies...one actually just horse size and then a small but very sturdy and brilliant miniature horse filly. The fourth, a classic shetland is a temperamental lawn ornament who keeps the mini moving. I train my ponies mainly in driven dressage...sometimes cones courses and always working to get them to travel quietly down my trails on the back half of my property which ends in a large driven dressage arena.

Thank you for stopping by my garden blog. I just love it. My grandmother had a garden and it was the most amazing thing to me to go to the garden and get fresh freggies for our meals. She even had chicken...my dh said I am pushing at that point....LOL

I see you are fairly new to SP and I want to wish you luck on your journey. It has been life altering and fun for me. I hope you find it just as amazing.
