Every one has a different journey...

I have been on this journey for about three years now. By January 2011 I had lost 40 pounds and had only 30 more to go but I got pregnant that summer, got put on bedrest and gained the weight right back plus more. So now that my body has healed and things are a little bit calmer now I am doing this all over but with some changes. I am more forgiving of myself and my small slip ups. I am more focused on health and making lifelong changes for myself and my family. I am determined to make fitness ...

My Goals:
Goals for the rest of 2012:
Complete a 5k without feeling like I am going to die.
Track my calories and stay between 1200-1300 a day.
Think carefully about everything I eat-no more mindless eating!
Exercise at least 4 times a week.

My Program:
It is very difficult to find time for myself so I am going easy this time-eating clean, tracking food, and doing the treadmill. I hope to start lifting weights by the end of this year but right now I just need to be consistent.

Personal Information:
I live in GA. I have been married to my best friend since 2009. I am a new mother and looking for a job!

Other Information:
l love to read anything and I am learning to love anything about health, and healthy food. I enjoy learning about this stuff and teaching it to my friends and family who are either on this weight loss journey or need to be!

"Three of the most powerful words in the English language are 'I AM RESPONSIBLE.' It's tough to do, but when the day comes that you can say those words, believe them, and mean them, it will be the most liberating moment of your life. Taking responsibility for all of your results, for better or for worse, is taking back your power to create results in your life."
-Tom Venuto

"Just because we are knocked down does not mean that we are out.
We still have breath in our lungs and tears flowing down - all signs that we are alive!
Take a deep breath and be reminded that often our biggest struggles are stepping stones to our greatest victories."
-Rae Smith

“The whole idea of motivation is a trap. Forget motivation. Just do it. Exercise, lose weight, test your blood sugar, or whatever. Do it without motivation. And then, guess what? After you start doing the thing, that's when the motivation comes and makes it easy for you to keep on doing it.”
-John C. Maxwell

"The common conception is that motivation leads to action, but the reverse is true....action precedes motivation. You have to "prime the pump" and get the juice flowing, which motivates you to work on your goals. Getting momentum going is the most difficult part of the job, and often taking the first step is enough to prompt you to make the best of your day."
-Robert McKain

"Making changes in your life is never an easy task. The key, however, is not to get caught up in the distance you have to go to get to where you want to be. Nor should you despair over the amount of control you have over your circumstances. Progress is made in the small, intentional steps, and chances are, you have more power than you think. By focusing on little steps you can take every day, the progress you make will motivate you to continue your journey, and eventually, you can go wherever you want to go. The important thing is simply to begin."
-Stephen Cherniske
