Shedding for the Wedding

I've been on SparkPeople since the end of 2007, and used it to lose about 60lbs, from 210 to 150. Over the next 5 years, I yo-yoed right back up and now am sitting at 213 lbs!

My wedding is on July 12, 2014 and I'm sick and tired of feeling dumpy and shying away from photographs! Losing weight this time around is much harder as I'm working full-time and have a fiance with the palate of a teenage boy who is very thin and hates the actual reality of eating healthy food.

I know I have to lose weight for myself and for my future!

Trackers are set with the goal of losing 1 pound a week. My goal is to be 160lbs by mid-June 2014 and be gorgeous for the big day.

Feel free to jump in and share your journey with us as we share our journeys with you. If you havenít already, please take the time to introduce yourself in the introduction forum. There are others that would like to welcome you too.

Remember, it's all about taking small healthy steps and building onto them. Healthy steps can include things like drinking your water daily, measuring food portions, using the food tracker, getting daily exercise, using the fitness tracker, and setting achievable goals. Donít overwhelm yourself. Do a few things then add on to them. It helps to create a healthier lifestyle to help keep the weight off.

Also please join in the different posts on the team. Even feel free to add a new post if you like.
