I'm a single Mom in Canada. I have a teen daughter. I'm self-employed as a housekeeper.

I'm on my feet all day and feel worn out before I even think about trying to exercise. Sometimes I go a whole month without a day off. For a while I was eating for energy to get through the day. It didn't work. I was still worn out, and gained 10 pounds! I came back to SparkPeople at the end of my rope, and was shocked to find I weigh 12 lbs more than my *starting* weight last year. ...

Whenever I stop logging my food, I gain weight. Entering the fitness info also seems to keep me accountable.

I'd love to lose about 20 lbs. Overall though, I just want to be healthier.

My Program:
I don't have a program. I'm trying to get lots of fibre, water and watch the calorie content of foods. I'm really trying not to have empty calories. I need to start adding exercise, esp cardio.

Hi Hollie, I was thinking of you and thought you should be back soon.I like the pictures, quite different from Florida. Sometimes I miss the mountains, trees, etc. I started the Shred and by the 7th day I was finished, couldn't get around that much, too intense for me. I don't do good with lunges and squats. It took me awhile to recover buit I'm doing ok now. I was disappoined but there are other things I can do. The Six Word Diet is something I came upon while on another's Spark page. You eat 100 calories every 90 min 12 times a day. Sounds easy but it is a learning experience. I'm eating more than the 100, not enough for me at this time. I think it will be like WW, as you lose weight the points go down. This is my first day doing it without plans for eating out. I started on Thursday, dropped almost 2 lbs and that's with eating DQ Girl Scout Blizzard. Friday, Sat and Sun were not good days, ate out every day. We went diving on Sunday, followed diet until dinner, then ate pizza but still lost almost a pound. I think it can be done but you have to be really committed. You can go to the web site sixworddiet.com and there is also a forum. The woman who started it lost 70 lbs on it. But enough about that, if you're interested let me know and I'll email you more info. I want to hear about your vacation and can't wait to see more pics on your site. I'm going to my daughter's in NJ with daughter from South Carolina but I'll have my computer and like them, will be on it every day. Welcome back.
