Loving Life and Getting Stronger Every Day!

I'm happily married to my best friend and the mother of a soon to be 1st grader. I've had weight problems my entire life. I am hoping to end those problems forever by focusing on HEALTH, not necessarily numbers. I previously was learning to love pushing myself by running, kickboxing, dancing, strength training and doing yoga - all at home. Now I need to rediscover that love! I previously was learning to love pushing myself by running, kickboxing, dancing, strength training and doing yoga - all at home. Now I need to rediscover that love! I was doing great and then completely derailed gaining back everything and more over the last 2 years. I have a long way to go, and I've "started" many times, but I am so proud of how far I came in the past. I did it before, I can do it again!

My Program:
Mainly I'm trying to listen to my body and make healthy choices.
I'm trying to cut back on refined carbs and add more whole grains, I'm tracking to be aware, and I'm adding more dynamic workouts - moving up from just trying to get steps and going on occasional walks. Getting back into dance cardio, etc.

Personal Information:
My name is Katie, I'm a mom and wife and I work part-time at a family business.

Other Information:
I love reading (which is quite helpful on the treadmill), writing, getting out in nature, though I'm still learning how to get out in it more often. I'm also into learning to meditate, working on my mind and spirit as well as body.

It was good to see you on the Status Feed this morning. I hope you are around more often. On your SparkPage you mentioned having a kindergarten age child. Is that current or are you struggling with a teenager? Sometimes those teens are enough to drive anyone to eat! In any case, take care and keep your body moving, and have a great day.

Hi there! It's been awhile since I heard from you or saw anything in writing anywhere on Spark. I hope you are OK and just busy living a good life. I thought you should know you are missed.

Hugs,
Carol

Thanks you for stopping by and commenting on my blog. I do need to add more strength training, already know that, just don't always do it. I usually wake up pretty stiff and sore; by the time I get all the kinks out I'm into my day and don't schedule in the workouts. I'll get there. Eating enough is not a problem - I've haven't subscribed to the starvation theory since I was in college more than 45 years ago. But I appreciate the thoughts and the reminder. Have a great day!
