I'm happily married to my best friend and the mother of a soon to be 1st grader. I've had weight problems my entire life. I am hoping to end those problems forever by focusing on HEALTH, not necessarily numbers.
I previously was learning to love pushing myself by running, kickboxing, dancing, strength training and doing yoga - all at home. Now I need to rediscover that love! I was doing great and then completely derailed gaining back everything and more over the last 2 years.
I have a long way to go, and I've "started" many times, but I am so proud of how far I came in the past. I did it before, I can do it again!
I am entering 5lb increments, will put the date completed as I go.
I'd like to be down:
10# by June 12.
30-40# by Sept 11
Goal weight by Sept/2017
Mainly I'm trying to listen to my body and make healthy choices.
I'm trying to cut back on refined carbs and add more whole grains, I'm tracking to be aware, and I'm adding more dynamic workouts - moving up from just trying to get steps and going on occasional walks. Getting back into dance cardio, etc.

I love reading (which is quite helpful on the treadmill), writing, getting out in nature, though I'm still learning how to get out in it more often. I'm also into learning to meditate, working on my mind and spirit as well as body.

I love this quote, it reminds me that everyone is unique and beautiful. We don't need to be replicas of famous people or models! Be true to yourself.

As the New Year approaches and the old year is getting ready to leave, it is too easy to focus on want went wrong, what we did not like and forget that with the bad, we did have good! What goes wrong in our life is there for a purpose! I always say that it is the hard times that makes us appreciate the good times. When reflecting back on 2014 think back on the bad times and what we learned from them. Think back on the good times and remember to enjoy the memory. Here is a quote I love to help us think about the upcoming year.
