Here's a FANTASTIC example of an "or something" way to spread your inspiration around.
I can't figure out hyperlinks on here to save my life, but it's a link to CNN's iReport assignment to tell your weight loss story. I think they are due for an in-betweener to bust up in there and show what us in-betweeners are doing with ourselves.
So. I was in a funkity funk today about my "lack of progress"....
Let me back up.
I came across your blogs not to0 long after I jumped back on spark people back in December. Besides the fact that you are everywhere on spark people, I think I found you bC this crazy idea of someday doing a triathlon had recently entered my conscious mind (a seemingly ridiculous thought for someone who failed to become a runner when she wasn't 100# overweight) and I either saw the bike picture from your half iron or found your blog about it. Just picking up the more recent segment of your story has been quite inspiring to me. But I've wanted to know the whole story. So every once in awhile I have been going back and reading your old blogs so I can follow your whole journey and glean inspiration. I kept losing track which I read last and/or wanted to re-read so I was back in the moment of the story as it were. All my re-reading lead to me not getting too far past your first 10k for quite some time. Well today I finally read some new ones. Here's what I have to say...
1. Ultimately reading your blogs helped me out of my funk today. So thank you for that. 2. I've said it before, but let me say it again - I really do think you should write a book or something. The "or something" could be to have a blog site outside of spark, or a youtube channel. I don't know. But something. 3. You have a gift for sharing yourself honestly in written form in a way that is encouraging to others. So thanks for bothering to do that. 4. My whole funk started around my "lack of progress". Somehow, reading your blogs helped me refocus on the progress I have made rather than stewing on the progress I haven't.
Anyway. Thanks again for the inspiration. Seriously dude.
You are awesome. Thank you for stopping by and responding to my blog. I needed to hear that. Talking with my therapist this week and she has me convinced that the thing that worked before is likely not the same thing that will work again now. And I believe that. Losing massive amounts of weight and achieving major goals changes a person's soul. So I am very different coming at this now than I was 3 years ago. So I need a new starting point. Which will happen sometime soon. I'm just hanging out here for a while and being observant of my habits and getting the lay of the land from this perspective. It will happen again. It's only a matter of time. But round 2 will look much different than round 1.
