Hi! My name is Jenn. I'm 41 and live in Florida. I have been overweight all my life and have tried about every fad diet you can think of. I've realized with the help of SparkPeople that "dieting" was my problem.

I am a work in progress. I am in no hurry. I have adopted a healthier lifestyle. I am more conscious of what I put in my mouth. I am beginning to understand this whole approach to weight lose and exercise. I feel pretty comfortable with the knowledge I've gained as far as nutrition and portion control. I'm still struggling with exercise, but I'm trying to make a habit of it. It's frustrating to me that I know what to do to lose weight, but I sometimes lack the motivation to do it.

I will do this, I will lose this weight and maintain. If it takes 6 mos, a year or two, I WILL DO IT THIS TIME!

My Goals:
-to lose 2 lbs. a week

-to be able to get off Diabetes and Blood Pressure Meds. * off 1 Diabetes med as off 4/10/09!!!!!*

-to be able to put a bathing suit on and go to the beach



My Program:
I don't really want to focus on "dieting". From past experience that does not work for me. Instead I will eat healthy, watch my portions and ban junk food. I will not give up if I fall off the wagon, I'll simply dust myself off and climb back on!!

Personal Information:
I live in Palm Beach, Florida, but was born and raised in North Carolina, which will always be my home.
I have one 16 year old daughter who I love more than life itself. God has blessed me and I'm extremely Thankful.
