My Goals:
Be healthier & not make this a temporary fix to a life long problem. I want to get down to 150 & then maintain that weight. I don't want to be embarrassed about my weight any longer.

My Program:
We have a Bow-Flex and a stationery bike at home. I'm trying to remember that the Bow-Flex isn't just a giant hanger! When I travel, the hotels usually have a treadmill and a bike. I try to change it up and use the treadmill as much as possible when I'm on my business trips.

Personal Information:
I am from the Chicagoland area and have 4 cats (my favorite is Orion - which is how I got my screen name), 14 fish tanks, and a pond!

Hi and thanks for the happy birthday, you have a really good memory! We are just back from a quick trip to Spain and the cats are celebrating. One year older, it still feels the same as before though, happily. How are things with you? I think often of your fish and cats, inside and outside fish.

I need to unpack and regroup. Spain is as hot as France. Tomorrow the Tour de France comes to Montpellier.

A big sparkpoints milestone! Great for you! PS, I was just thinking of you for the past couple of days. I was using a bottle of Aleve that you gave me for arthritis neck pain from your closet of goodies--I was very glad to have it!

You just past 15000 fitness minutes, according to the side bar on my page! Yippee! Hug the cats for me-- and feed the fish, I guess, no hugging the fish....

Wow--What a great goodie to get up to! Thanks for thinking of me. We had whole wheat French toast for breakfast and I'm going to cook Indian for lunch, other than that, the only special plans today are a big walk in town together. And I think a drink at a favorite café in town in a very old and very pretty little corner.

How are you and the menagerie doing?

Dexter is stalking Akasha and making her mad. They all get along fine, with Kasha getting exasperated and needing her space, but fine.

How are the outside fish doing?

Well-- Dexter is under the bed in the extra bedroom. It was a long process at a disorganized animal shelter, but we were determined not to leave without him and finally everyone agreed that the vet had said it was ok for him to go home. He spent all last eve and night shut up in the extra room with visits from us. He is a lover, super affectionate, super happy not to be in a cage anymore, all love and head butts and purrs and more love. he ate fine and used the box fine too. This am he was looking like he wanted to see what was on the other side of the door so we opened it. Kasha and Cambouis are less open-minded about him than he is about them and there was a lot of hissing and fluffy tails from the two girls. I will spend the day in with the door open so he can come out from under the bed if he wants and explore, and hopefully, everyone will eventually get their minds around the situation. He goes back under the bed when the hissing starts. Kasha is very curious, I think Cambouis is very jealous.

He is very Siamese-y in shape and temperament, in a good way, but not colors. So far, silebnt, except big purring. He let us touch every part of him, stomach, roll him around, everything from the very first, he's a lover. I think he was very sad in the shelter and wasn't showing peope his best face so he got passed over a lot. He's long and thin, fine legs, fine bone structure, very oriental, compared with tthe cats I would normally choose who are stockier, like your group of boys. We love him already. He's also a lot cuter than I thought he was--all white, with a brown spot on one side like a fox terrier, some black-brown on the top of his head and half of each ear, a black spot on on leg, a couple more small spots on legs and a brown black tail. Pictures to come when everyone is more relaxed. I also think he is younger than the say he is, over a year but probably not yet two. We'll count him 2 in May to match the other cat birthdays.

OK, off to check out the situation.

How are fish?
