I have had a problem with weight all my life. I weighed 135 when I married. This was after starving myself the summer before to lose down from 180 lbs. Our first son was born 1 and 1/2 years later and my weight went up to 180 again. I had it back down to 150 when our next son was on the way. I hit 190 this time. My doctor put me on fruit and water for 3 days at a time so often that's it a wonder Earl wasn't a monkey. (That is what they use to do when you gain to much weight.)
D I V O RC E was the next major thing in my life. It was 13 and 1/2 yearsg in the making. I was still at 190. Bingo my weight dropped to 125lbs. Of course my best friend was coming at least once a week to make sure I had eaten that week. It had become easy to go 2 or 3 days without eating. I cooked for my sons, I just let them eat and if I was hungry I would eat or if nothing was left that was okay too. I enjoyed wearing the clothes and looking nice. I remarried which was a big mistake. It only lasted 8 months I was so miserable, again food didn't matter. I kept it off for several years and met Jack. This is the perfect marriage. Jack has put up with me and my chidren and grands and still loves me. When we met I could not even eat a whole hamburger. This is the start of the weight gain. I couldn't stand to leave food on the plate he bought. I started cooking a lot again after we moved in togather . His 2 daughters lived with us from time to time also. After 19 years, I now weigh 242. Jack has never said a word about my weight. He encourages me when I try to lose weight. We had 4 grands move in with us about 5 years ago. Today we have the third one moving back out to her mom. One thing I have learn over the years is , I am not a spring chicken any more. Another is just because there are junk food in the house does not mean you have to eat it. Topping out at 289 lbs., I have now sat my mind to get down to at least 150, hoping for 135 lbs. I have lost around 40lbs. so far this time. I need help to stick with it. I know I have friends here and I guess there would always be here any time of the day or night. I have a group of friends here in Iva that meet on Thurs. nights that also encouraging. (T.O.P.S.). Ladies and gentlemen, I need your support.

1. to weigh about 150 lbs.
2. to be healthy
3. to be able to walk without giving out of breath after 15 mins.
4. to see all 18 grandchildren grow up
5. to see 8 great grandchildren grow up


My Program:
So far, I have not done my best to lose weight. I am now trying but not as hard as I should. The weight I have lost so far is by cutting out sweet tea, sodas, and bread. We hardly ever fry foods or use salt.
