Hello from Costa Rica!

I've found three constants in my journey to losing weight:
1. It's all up to you, nobody else.
2. Calories in HAVE to be less than calories out.
3. You have to suffer.

Thanks to the 2014 Summer 5% Challenge, I lost 5.4 pounds! And to the 2014 Fall 5% Challenge, I lost 4.6 pounds more for a total of 10 lbs. Actually I reached my goal weight of 128 lbs. I was unable to get the motivation (a big push) necessary to embrace and enjoy ...

Thanks to the 2014 Summer 5% Challenge, I lost 5.4 pounds! And to the 2014 Fall 5% Challenge, I lost 4.6 pounds more for a total of 10 lbs. Actually I reached my goal weight of 128 lbs. I was unable to get the motivation (a big push) necessary to embrace and enjoy a complete change in my lifestyle seriously, until I got into these challenges. I was always procrastinating the big start. I am extremely happy I've found invaluable friends along this lifelong journey here at SP.

Thanks for reading my blog. After tracking my food for 5 full years, I decided to try intuitive eating. I had lost 80 pounds and maintained for over 4 years, although I have a history of regaining and yoyo-ing. I maintained pretty well on intuitive eating for 10 months, but was averaging 1-2 pounds above my target. And when I say pretty well, that means that about every 3 or 4 weeks I'd have a gain and have to purposely cut back on food. Repeatedly I did get back to goal without tracking, but I would like to maintain a couple pounds lower and with a smaller weight fluctuation. And in the past 6 weeks I've gained another pound or two. So it is time to track again. Thanks for asking. -Marsha

Thanks for your comment on my blog. I did not make the menudo it was canned. I usually eat the red kind but had found at the store the white kind so tried it. It was okay but I like the red better. I like the tripe in it and so I ate it. And I was hungry.

The snow is beautiful, that's for sure. Pain in the butt, but beautiful!

Hope you're having a great Tuesday!
