Hello from Costa Rica! I'm a Costa Rican, living in Costa Rica.

I'm a proud member of the Awesome A Team - 5% Challenges.

My weight loss story:

For about 3 years, I was unable to get the motivation and determination (the big push) necessary to embrace and enjoy a complete change in my lifestyle seriously, until I got into the 5% challenges. I was always procrastinating the big start.

Thanks to the 2014 Summer 5% Challenge, I lost 5.4 pounds. And to the 2014 Fall 5% Challenge, I lost 4.6 pounds more and reached my goal weight (a total of 10 lbs lost).

I am extremely happy I've found invaluable friends along this lifelong journey here at SP.

Positive quote-You're allowed to scream, you're allowed to cry but do not give up

Yesterday was in a lot of pain. Caretaker-M came for a few hours and drove me to the supermarket to get some grapes, garlic, yellow peaches and dried lima beans (for hubby, he was craving them). We also stopped at the Starbucks in the store. We only walked a bit in the store as it just hurt to much. I had over done it doing the laundry (climbing stairs to and from the cellar) and taking care of hubby most of the day. M is coming today from 10-6 so will rest up and let her take care of hubby and me. I have my fasting day all planned. Breakfast a pack of Quaker oatmeal made with water, lunch one scrambled egg with rooster sauce on top, dinner a fresh ripe pear, and snack pack humus with crackers. That should be around 500 calories..Exercise today to be a few exercises using hand held weights working my upper body. I plan to do 5 exercises doing 12 reps 2 times of each.

I am not into the emoticon emoticon thing so staying inside

Positive quote-Appreciate where you are in your journey even if it's not where you want to be. Every season serves a purpose.

I am trying to make today a good day. I can't go for a long walk or ride my exercise bike but I can use this day to straighten out a few cupboards in the kitchen and drawers in the bedroom. I went through my socks drawer and throw out all the socks without a mate. I throw out those nylons that I have not worn in 12 years, why oh why have I held on to them lol. Hubby got a grabber from his PT therapist and I used it to straighten up my shoes, they always seem to get in a mess.
I stayed on my fast day yesterday and scale down again today woohoo!!!
