Embracing What I Have...

My aim is to live a healthy, long, active life where I can both savor and enjoy my life and contribute to the well-being of others and my community. I work (yes, it's "work" sometimes) to maintain healthy habits, including mindful eating, portion control, extremely limited sugar/carbs in my diet, and regular cardio exercise... I wear a Fitbit Charge HR, start my day with reading some things that keep me focused, log in on Sparkpeople and try to keep mindful of what I eat and include movement ...

While my implementation of my intentions is less than perfect, part of my practice is to keep on and not be discouraged. Instead, I affirm each positive thing I do for myself and my body. Strong body, strong mind, strong spirit!

My Program:
I am exercising moderately but regularly, and eating more intentionally and carefully. I watch my portions, and treat myself occasionally - really tasting my food and eating mindfully. I'm changing my lifestyle to be more health-oriented and I'm prioritizing self-care.

Pat, the little clamps I use are from Harbor freight but I think I've seen them at hardware stores, walmart etc. At HF, I was able to get aabout a 10 inch tube filled with these clamps, about 4 of them are larger & work really well at the corners and then the rest are about the size of clothespins but with jaws big enough to clip over the pvc pipe.

Their marriage is inspiring. A doctor once told my stepmother that she would live to be 100 (she'll be 92 on Sunday) and she says that would be okay but only if my dad is there too. Very sweet!
