What a wonderful "mitzvah" (yiddish for doing a good deed) you so generously did to that man who seemingly was lost most likely consumed in thought and direction. I am so glad you guided him, I am thrilled you were able to so selflessly achieved such a nice and can be," contagious" act of kindness. Yes, I also believe and do, "pay it forward..." Thank you Patti so very much!
One good deed can move forward in all directions, this is wonderful what you did!
Yes, My daughter's wedding hopefully will take place at the end of all the stress regarding the surgery Lucy has to have. And oh, will I celebrate! Hugs dear one, fredie

Hopefully it's a new procedure, but it certainly makes you wonder, doesn't it? Your mother is very lucky to have you and Ken available to take her to appointments and help out in so many other ways.

I firmly believe that many seniors end up in long-term facilities instead of being able to live on their own simply because they either have no children or their children have moved far away.

Thanks for commenting, enjoy your warm week-end. It feels like spring here.

Patti, I have only heard good things about this type of surgery...And knowing that Lucy Lou will feel better just makes me want to celebrate right now. She is scheduled March 3rd, Lisa and I discussed in great deal her recovery and what it entails. She realize that I have the type of home (flat and no steps) a garden arm's reach and the time, especially the time and decided that it would be much more appropriate for Lucy's well being that I care for her until her second surgery/recovery full time. So that means I have her full time starting now until August. And I couldn't be happier. It was worth every emotional pain I endured, worth the roller coaster ride, worth the tears and heartbreak, worth it all...SHe is going to be loved and taken care of the best of my ability and hopefully she will heal quick...Sending you so much love and I have so much gratitude for your support and awesome hugs and concerns...xoxoxo fredie
