Isn't it a shame that some families, and some places, are so intolerant of others' religious beliefs? After all, most of us don't choose, our religion, we're born into it. I was loosely brought up in the Anglican church (my parents stopped going when they didn't like the new priest), but over the years I attended,Baptist and Presbyterian churches, mostly because they were close to our house when the kids were small.

I believe that it's important to find a church that you like, with a welcoming minister and congregation, where you will actually attend, instead of adhering strictly to one denomination.

What a lousy time for Ken to be gone, but then again, he needs his time of grief as well.
Oh Patti, being alone is a toughie. Alone with memories and those darn grief waves. Is there anything I can do on my end? I am available dear one. I won't go swimming, but I will do anything you request...Even attempt to stand on my head!
I am alone this week too. Lucy Lou is with Lisa and I just hate it when I don't have my company with me. But next week she will be back and on Thursday is phase 2, the second knee surgery that I am quite prepared for I think.
That reminds me I need a bit more canned food for my dog food supply.
Other than that, I will be homebound for a few weeks so if you ever feel like chatting....I will be available.
How is your weather where you are ? We have been dealing with such a heat wave and that today is supposedly the last day, a cool down starting tomorrow. Ha, I will believe it when I start feeling it!
I cannot believe how long this heat wave has been hanging around, and it has affected the mood of everyone here. A tad cranky, no patience and absolutely no humor comes to mind.
Yes, It is suppose to dissipate beginning early mañana...Go away heat, don't come back either.....!!!!!!
Hope your evening will be restful dear Patti....restful and peaceful....Two, yes, two great words...nighty night sweetness...hugs, f

And Patti, I want to thank YOU for being there for me as well darlin'. How are u, or should I ask....Have the waves of grief been as cruel as they can be? Or, have they become somewhat tolerant and only to push a reminder how wonderful and beautiful your Miki was. Yes, grief can be intolerable, but also helps remind us how much we love our loved one to pieces.

Hugs sweetie, major hugs to you.
