Summer of Change

My journey begins with the Summer 5% Challenge.

Change is never easy and it takes time to make changes become a habit. That is what I am working on to make changes that will last.
This Summer I have decided to everything I can to make lifestyle changes.
Exercise:
Walking
I love walking so have bought Walking DVD's so whatever the weather I can still do my walking.
Chair Exercise

Exercise:

I love walking so have bought Walking DVD's so whatever the weather I can still do my walking.
Chair Exercise
There are days when I am in a lot of pain from Osteo-arthritis and a condtion called Joint Hypermobility Syndrome which causes problems with all the connective tissues in the body.
On these days I do my exercise sat down and I have wide selection to chose from.
Diet:
For the first time I am going to try the Full Plate diet and see how that works out for me.
I am working on getting Fitter, Healthier and Trimmer. I am not obcessing over the numbers on the scale the important thing is to get fitter and healthier. By eating a sensible diet and exercising I will be doing both.

My Exercise Commitment
A Balanced workout to include: Cardio Strength and Aerobics

A good walking plan so I walk at least 1 mile a day.

Diet Commitment

Trying the Ful Plate Diet for the first time

My Program:
Get up early so I can exercise.

Plan meals

Watch the Carb intake.
I am not doing a low carb diet just lowering the amount I eat


Personal Information:
I live in Milton Keynes England with my Husband Colin.

I enjoy knitting and crafting for friends, family and charities.

Other Information:
During the Summer months I want to increase the exercise slowly.
I want to add more fruit and vegetables to my diet as they will be plentiful and a larger variety available.

Thanks for reading my Obsession blog and for your comments. I wish you a healthy and successful summer, see you again in the fall (hopefully) once I have a chance to re-group and get things back to a less stressful place here at home.

Good luck on our challenge! I SO need it because I gained weight on the last one and have been out of control ever since! :( I pretty much gained back a lot of whet I had lost .... but a lesson learned AND it has given me great motivation for THIS challenge. I see you are on "Where are you Walking to? Team. I was active last year but during winter didn't get out as much a I needed. Now it seems babysitting the grandkids makes it hard to find time. I hope to get back to it!

I hope you're starting off this 5% Challenge off with a bang, Clover! Keep pushing, remain positive & keep on logging those fitness & water points so we can land this plane in due time! You are worth the time, worth the effort & worth all the hard work it takes to get to a healthier place!
