As I learned to navigate my way around, I discovered so many helpful topics, which I read that gave me a wealth of information and knowledge. Teams to join, recipes to try, and so much more. My focus was on losing weight, eating the right foods, to become a healthier me. I remembered to track my my foods eaten, and my exercises. This was my challenge to me.

My Goals:
My first goal is losing weight. My second goal is to exercise more on a daily routine. My third goal is to eat healthier for life. Since I have joined Spark People I have lost 66 pounds.
My Program:
I am on a 1200 calorie a day diet. Plan to weight 120lbs. by 2010.... would like to lose a pound a week I have been diagnosed with having diabetes two months ago, and have started a different diet, also keeping track of my blood sugar. ouchhh!! I use Spark People recipes, and a diabetic cook book. How boring it would be without changes. LOL I can do it, and am becoming a healthier me. Exercise is an important part of my day. Along with my Physical Therapy exercising, I watch many of the Spark People videos, which gives me more ideas on ways to exercise. Here I wrote some of my ways of my accomplishing this. 1. staying focused 2. direction 3. commitment 4. if I fall down seven times, I get up eight. 5. support from other members. 6. Spark People articles 7. motivation 8. encouragement 9. faith 10. hope 11. staying positive
Personal Information:
My name is: Paula Marguerite Strasburg, I am married to the most wonderful man in the world, his name is Wayne Allen Strasburg. We live in Chippewa Falls, WI, on lake Wissota. I have multiple disabilities, which are: I have severe copd, influenza, nerve and muscle damage, Fibermyalgia, Spinal Stenosis, atrophy, auropathy, narrowing of the spine, asthma, scoliosis, and diabeties. I use a walker most of the time, and a wheel chair when I cannot walk. I have pain 24/7 which is controlled by medication I am on for some relief.
Other Information:
Writing poetry and short stories. Over the spring, summer and fall I knit or crochet blankets, hats, scarfs, and mittens, for new born babies, and children. I enjoy reading, cooking and baking. I like country music, and old time movies. I like going for rides in the country with my husband and two fur baby Shih-Tzus, Abigail and Henry, Jr. I enjoy football and baseball. I like variety in my life, a choice of things to do. My favorite holiday is Christmas. My favorite song is "Amazed" our wedding song. Every anniversary we dance to it, bringing back the day we said, "I Do", and the memories of that special moment in our lives. I enjoy life and live it to the fullest.
