Hello all!
I am a 26yr old woman who used to be 107lbs. I am now 150lbs and want to get back to the body I felt happier in. I am here to embark on a journey towards a healthier lifestyle!
Little bit about me..
I love to laugh!!! I believe a day without laughter is a day wasted. I think it's truly the simple things that make life so enjoyable. I love to go out and explore the beauty of the world, being adventurous is exciting to me. But I value taking the time to get to know people in an intimate way. Sometimes life can be so distracting that we forget to really hear each other, so I try to make it a priority to learn from everyone I meet. Family and friends mean everything to me and are what my life revolves around. I spent 2 years overseas (where I gained most of the weight!) and learned so much from the experience.
I was never the type to set a goal and stick to it. I've always been lenient with myself, whether it was breaking a diet or being late to a commitment I made. I believe that it's because of this flaky attitude that I let my weight creep up the way it has.
I've always wanted to better myself in this area, and hope that with the help of SP I'll be able to do so. I'm extremely excited for this journey and can't wait to see what lays ahead!

    Well, we moved back to the states when I was 15 (we were always going back and forth - mom is american, dad is israeli and they could never make up their minds, lol!) and I went back when I was 18. I had gotten in to Bar Ilan but I deferred for 2 years so I could serve. I ended up going to officer's training so I was in for a total of 5 years. Then my husband and I came back to the states so I could go to college and then vet school. I loved my time in the army. I spent the first 4 years on the front lines - Schem, Ramallah, Lebanon. I saw a lot and learned a lot, that's for sure. I was in schem during the big uprising at kever yosef in 2001 and that was probably the most frightening time of my life. After I met my husband I took a position that would have me home every day...but after 4 years on the front lines, I just couldn't do a desk job. I stayed through that year and then left. I definitely think those 5 years shaped who I am today. Part of what I strive for with the weight loss is to get back to that body I had. I had always been overweight but lost it all in the army. I was so happy and confident and outgoing. I hate being back in a fat body (well, I have been in one for almost 10 years now). I'm very proud that I came back to do my duty as an israeli, even though I didn't really have to, considering I was in the U.S. It was the most amazing time of my life!

    Israeli born and bred, lol...and I know how a big group of girls can get with a few loaves of bread and chocolate spread...ha ha :)
