Living to learn and learning to live!

I am a christian, 53 year old Catholic, married 29 years to my husband, retired transit work. Greatful to be in good health, but this menopause and hypothyroid, is putting so many unwanted pounds on me, i am 5'4" and weigh 197. Looking forward to digging my heals in and to lose this weight thru my sparks friends (teams) I am not computer savvy, so please be patient with me responding back to you. If you would like you are invited to my "I finally lost 50 lbs" party at DSBride page. She is providing the decorations so bring a Spark treat to share and share in my Joy and setting of my next goal to move forward, always forward. Wear what you'd like, fancy dress, Pj's what every you like. I think I will wear those Red 6 Inch heeled stiledo's in the Spark goodies, just to know what it feels like, I usually wear flats. Hi Patricia. How are you doing? I see you removed yourself from the inactive teams. I lead a team that is very active. We do 3 monthly challenges and 1 or 2 mini challenges a month. I will send you an invitation and you can check it out and see if it is something you would be interested in. I hope you are doing okay. If you need anything just mail me.

I saw your post on "Fans of Spark People" about wanting support. Looking at your web page it looks like you are doing what you need to be doing to get that support. You need to join teams and be active on those teams in the daily threads. However some teams are not regularly active and that will not help you much. You need to find a team or two that is active daily and they will help encourage you and challenge you to get to the goals you want.

I signed up for many teams when I first started because I really did not know what the teams did or were designed to do. Since I have dropped all those teams but two to stay active with. One team I am on is more active than the other and it really helps me alot. I am making good friends there and getting the support I need. If you do not have an active team feel free to check us out at: Come on, Light Your Fire!
