Back at Square One.

Well, here it is April 8th of 2014.....4 years after I first started....a LOT has happened since then. I lost 74 pounds that first year...I made it to ONEderland and finished it out keeping 84 pounds gone for over 2 years!....and now...I'm working to get back there. I didn't give up on this lifestyle...but God had a different plan for me. He completed our family on August 30, 2013 with a beautiful amazing baby boy. My older son and my daughter adore him and I LOVE watching them with him...so I am thankful for each and every pound I had to gain to give him the nutrients he needed. While it was WAY more than I EVER wanted to gain, and it's been tough coming back from it. I wouldn't change it. I love all my kids so very much. But that doesn't give me a reason to keep this weight on. And while I have struggled with how to start again...I've decided....I'm starting back at Square one.

I started this past weekend. I'm focusing on water, portion control and a bit of calorie counting trying to get into that again, and walking. Just like I did 4 years ago. I have to walk either on my lunch breaks or when I get home from work or both for a MINIMUM 20 minutes. I use my elliptical a lot as I really like it and it's easier on my knees. I'm working to get back to me again...and fit into all those clothes from 2 years ago!

I know I can do this...and now it's time to get it done. So I'm back and I'm going to rock this and make this year count.

I didn't mean to worry you . . . I didn't really lose a kidney. Good job on losing 41 lbs so far. That's awesome! I know I always gained a lot with my pregnancies. I'm so excited you are back too!

Hey Charlie!! I went on a long trip to Candy Mountain and I just got back to SP. I may have lost a kidney, but unfortunately I gained a few pounds. Good thing I found my way back to SP! So we can start again together!!

BTW, your kiddos are so cute!!

I transitioned to gluten free over a 3 month period. It is easier than I thought it would be as I'm not a huge pasta (or most breads) eater. I used up foods we had on hand by going with 1 meal gluten free a week, then several days, day then 2 meals etc. Also just because I'm gluten free doesn't mean no carbs I can (and do) still eat rice, corn tortillas, etc. There are also a lot of gluten free products on the market today. But this is not something to try lightly. I spoke with my doc before beginning. He encouraged me to try. I'm taking fewer pain meds and having less swelling.

Good luck on your journey and have fun!
